BJ gave us an excellent tour of the Rekjanes peninsula showing us sights we had not seen before. He was very informative and had a great deal of knowledge of the area. While the weather wasn't ideal being from Minnesota we are use to it we forged ahead seeing many great sight in ways many people rarely see. This gave us many great photos. Highly recommend BJ and BTH travel.

From Reykjavik, we drive for about one and a half hours to get to Gerduberg, a place famous for its colossal basalt columns. We then continue the journey to beautiful Arnarstapi, an old fishing village where you can walk along the cliffs and enjoy the view of the majestic Snæfellsjökull, in the Snæfellsjökull National Park. The tour will continue to volcano craters, black beaches, lighthouses, beautiful cliffs, and the famous Kirkjufell, the most photographed mountain in Iceland. We will drive you to secret places you will not see on a bus tour and, if we are lucky, we will get to see some seals or even whales before our return to Reykjavik in the evening.

We booked 5 days private tour with Iceland Premium Tours, and we were hosted by none other than the CEO Orvar himself. He has been very accommodating towards our request, and provided his unparalleled understanding of Iceland itself. We have been hit by bad weather thru the week, he never stopped a moment to suggest alternate alternatives, without compromising of safety. When we were on the way to the airport, knowing that we did not managed to see the aurora, he took a last effort and drove us to a location for a last ditch effort. And we managed to catch a glimpse of it finally! Thank you Orvar!

Ahhh. The tour not taken. I jumped on a great last minute airfare to Iceland from the US and had little time to plan, so I was panicking, a bit. I read reviews and decided to contact two tour companies, one being Hidden Iceland. They responded immediately with a detailed outline of a private tour that met EXACTLY what I asked for in terms of sights, type of accommodation, level of activity, adventure and flexibility specific to a mom traveling with teenagers. Family friends learned of our trip and decided to join us and ultimately the decision was made to self explore. However- this company’s response was very impressive and I will be envious of those who take a vacation with Hidden Iceland!

This is the less travelled tour by tourists in Iceland. This 90- km long peninsula comprises a world of diversity. Friendly towns and villages, spectacular mountains, a multitude of bird species nesting on treacherous cliffs, beaches of sand and pebbles popular among horsemen and rock skimmers, remnants and relics scattered here and there of times and ways of life long past. Saga sites and hiking trails. The Snaefellsjokull National Park is at the westernmost part of the peninsula, including the mystical glacier Snaefellsjokull, as well as other unique sites such as Djupalonssandur, Thufubjarg and more.

We had 9 people in our holiday party and this company was perfect for what we needed. Before we even booked, if I messaged them they replied promptly and were extremely helpful. They picked us up at the airport in a massive van with a trailer so all our luggage fit. Coming back they picked us up at 4am in the morning and the whole process of getting to the hotel and back to the airport was hassle free. Our plane came early but they were still there on time. The transfer wasn't the cheapest but it was worth it for the service and reliability. No waiting around. It was worth the extra dollars.

You will have the unique opportunity to visit one of the world's most famous glaciers, also featured in Jules Verne's Journey to the Centre of the Earth, with no effort as the tour on the glacier will be by a comfortable snow buggy ride, and in small groups. The tour starts at the foot of Snæfellsjökull glacier. To get there, you need to drive along road F570 towards the glacier until you find our snowcat and our minibus cafe. You need to have a 4x4 car to get there. Alternatively, you can select the tour option with transfer from our office in Grundarfjörður. As we go up the glacier, we will make stops for you to enjoy the glacier, as well as some spectacular view of Snæfellsnes Peninsula. We will drive the snow cat as high as we can go on the glacier and there you will have time to walk around and take all the beauty in. This is a sightseeing tour where the guide will give you a bit of information about the glacier.

Have you ever heard of Jules Verne and his novel "Journey to the center of the earth"? Well, we'll take you to Snæfellsjökull volcano, also known as the entrance to the core of the planet. The Snæfellsnes Peninsula is often called "Iceland in Miniature". It is the perfect combination of waterfalls, rough lava fields, black sand beaches, and Icelandic folklore. We head west and our first stop is a small town called Borgarnes. After a quick stop to buy some snacks and refreshments we are on our way to the Peninsula. In good weather conditions, we can already see the glacier that sits atop a stratovolcano that is well known from the Novel "Journey to the center of the earth". Book hassle-free with us! We guarantee all our departures without minimum participation.

This was our second tour with Reykjavik Tourist Info and Toni. Again, we were picked up in a nice car and we have been the only ones on the tour. This was probably the best tour I have ever done. We visited 10 or more places, each more beautiful than the one before. When I did my research before our trip, it seemed to me that the tour to this Peninsula isn't as popular as other tours, but believe me, this is one of the best tours you can do. The landscape is unreal and it is definitely worth the money. Once again, I highly recommend Reykjavik Tourist Info, as their service is top-notch.
