Autumn is a great time to visit Transylvania. One of the highlights for me was the mountain roads and seeing the bright autumn colours in the forests. The scenery is spectacular! Bogdan is an excellent tour guide who entertained me with his stories and knowledge of the castles. He is able to explain the history of the region and to answer any questions. Due to COVID, the castles were not crowded and the lines were short. The cold misty weather when I visited Bran Castle added to the spooky atmosphere.

George is very knowledgeable and has obviously been to the places on this Transylvania trip. Customized our locations to maximize sights and touring for the time we had and where we wanted to see. Definitely a perfect trip that could have only used a couple tweaks. Watch windy roads if anyone gets car sick, let the driver know if there is anything specific your interested in and take lots of pictures, it will be a trip of a lifetime. Also, expect the guide to sometimes be rushed, we didn't expect to be kind of dropped off quite as much in some locations but we adapted to the area. Some of the best sights you will see and George is a very insightful and knowledgeable guide.

Ionut is an awesome tour guide and host. He arranged a special one day tour for us to include the two castles, plus a home cooked lunch on a farm with the farmer's family, and at the end of a long day, a drop off at our airport hotel. Well worth the reasonable cost and much more flexible than other tours we looked at. Go with Ionut and you won't be disappointed! Happy travels in Romania!

We have booked an individual tour through Transylvania, with pick up and drop off at the airport, rental car, and four Hotels. Everything was smooth and easy, well organized after an intense but easy preparation of the trip by Email correspondence. Many helpful hints and tips, starting from where to best change money, to restaurants and sightseeing highlights. Two times there were minor problems with the hotel, immediately resolved by the tour operator, readily available and “on call and duty” by WhatsApp. We felt thus very secure: this is individual travel at its best; the tour operator as backup, but otherwise total freedom. Another trip to Romania, it will be this operator again for sure. We have visited Transylvania only. It is worth a visit: nothing there compares to the highlights of let’s say France or England, but the entire region is soaked in history, every little village has its little treasure, the countryside marvels by its intact nature, people are friendly and welcoming without any hassle. We come back!
