Wolf Gap was a delight! The Mariage Reserve 2011 was absolutely delicious, among others. We were able to tour the grounds as well, and it is so beautiful there. The owners, Willie and Diane, were gracious and knowledgeable. It’s evident that they give attention to every detail in their home, business, and land. We will definitely be back again!

Beautiful views and excellent wine! The staff were very welcoming and accommodating! The wine was delicious as was the presentation (try the flights!) The cheese and olives were a great snack too. The space is very spread out which made it super “Covid-friendly.” The fire pits and heat lamps made it very comfortable. We had a relaxing afternoon and we will definitely be back before we leave the area.

Third Hill at DeMello Vineyards

You will find De Mello Vineyards nestled in the folds of the gorgeous Shenandoah Valley. We sit directly under Third Hill, one of the conspicuous landmarks in the valley, used as a signal station during the Civil War. Our little winery has amazing views and beautiful sunsets with a westerly exposure which our vines adore. Our terrior has the ideal components for an excellent wine with its limestone and clay soils. Our tasting room embraces the essence of the valley with reclaimed wood, an intricate walnut bar. Come and wine down at Third Hill Winery and experience the Shenandoah piece of mind.

We have a summer home in Va. and the first place we like to visit is the beautiful Third Hill at Demello Vinyards! Eddy and Wendy, the owners, are the most friendly people we know. They treat you like family. They both are hard working and does most of the making of wine, keeping the grounds beautiful and make you feel welcome! The scenery is amazing! The entertainment is always great fun and relaxing as you are sipping on their amazing wines! Can't wait to get back to Va.!

Muse Vineyards

Award-winning estate wines from the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. Winner of the 2015 VA Governor's Cup. Fine wines, delicious food, panoramic views. Just 90 minutes from DC and two miles off I-81.

The vineyards are in a beautiful setting. The wine is award winning. Food selection on the mid-week day that we went was limited (more is available on weekends). We did the 1.8 mile self-guided walking tour around the estate after we finished our wine testing. Dogs are welcome and ours loved running around off leash.

From the minute you ascend the mountain you see why the owners decided to establish a winery here!!! WHAT A VISION!!!! The view of the blue mountains in a distance, the landscape bursting with the colors of fall foliage then gazing down the hill at rows of vines make this a perfect place to end your wine tour in the mountains!!! The owners and staff were very warm and friendly. The establishment was super clean and the outdoor seating was much better than any other winery we've been to in the part of Va. The rose wine was TOP NOTCH!!! This is a 'must stop' visit on your wine tour for sure!!

We enjoyed a picnic lunch on their patio overlooking the vineyard and mountains. We liked all 6 wines in the flight but settled on a bottle of the 2018 blanc for lunch. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well suited for Covid distancing.

While driving back roads found this gem and stopped in to have a tasting. Young lady waited on us as we ordered a tasting. Lots of great information shared and we tasted Seyval, Chambourcin, Merlot and Mulled Cider. All were good and they have lots of fun wine gifts to offer.
