Things to do in Seoul, South Korea: The Best Outdoor Activities

July 31, 2021 Jana Sager

Seoul is the business and cultural hub of South Korea, where skyscrapers tower over Buddhist temples. Take it all in from the N Seoul Tower, built atop a peak in Namsan Park. The teahouses and shops of Insadong give you a taste of Korean flavor, which you can further experience with a visit to the grounds and museums of Gyeongbokgung. UNESCO World Heritage Site Changdeokgung Palace is a fine example of authentic ancient architecture.

Me and my family came across Hello Hanbok by chance while walking in the Hanok village area. It was almost 5pm but the sky was still bright outside. The friendly shop owner helped us find the hanbok we wanted quickly and did my hairdo (we could choose a normal braid or a half braid) so we still had the full 2 hours before the shop closes at 7pm. It was a fun and affordable experience! Just be aware not to wear any bright coloured shoes because it might show sometimes underneath the hanbok when you're taking photos. Good service in a welcoming shop with much nicer quality and prettier hanbok than other rental places we've passed through. Highly recommended!
