Wonderful little Theatre!! We saw a fantastic play here and were blown away by how excellent the show, actors and facility were. Such a delightful intimate facility. Every seat is truly excellent. We purchased front row seats and even though it might have been slightly better viewing a little higher up, it was a rare opportunity to be nose level with the stage and so close to the performers you could see their nostrils flare. Highly recommend seeing a show here. The Staff were welcoming and really wonderful. Great fun!!!

Beyond Babel is a new dance show created by and starring Keone & Mari Madrid. The production is inspired by the classic tale of Romeo & Juliet and current social stories from all over the world. Beyond Babel is told entirely through the style of urban dance in a new custom theater space near Downtown. "A must see show... it could put San Diego on the map, its that good" - San Diego Voice

Our first concert at The Conrad, such a beautiful venue in downtown La Jolla. We attended the La Jolla Music Society’s concert by classical pianist Garrick Ohlson, whom we try to see whenever he performa in San Diego. The Conrad’s architecture is even more stunning on its interior as it is from outside in Fay Avenue. The acoustics are excellent and the setting in the Baker-Baum concert hall is really beautiful: peaceful, elegant, and deferential to the performer. The open spaces for mingling with friends and other patrons are also elegant and inviting. A friend of mine hosted her daughter’s wedding at The Conrad and the pictures were stunning. She said the setting worked wonderfully to host both the ceremony, dinner, and dancing! So wonderful to have this great venue in The heart of La Jolla. Valet parking is available on evenings of Conrad events.

What a great performance. All the cast was good and Robert Joy played a great Scrooge. Jacque Wilke played several characters and stole the show with her fantastic facial expressions and enthusiasm. What a talent.

The Spreckels Organ and San Diego Civic Organist, Dr. Carol Williams. This organ with 4,518 pipes, was a gift from the Spreckels brothers to the city of San Diego on January 1, 1914. Come visit for a free concert every Sunday at 2pm and afterwards you are invited inside the building to view the pipe chambers and historic photo gallery.
It was fascinating to learn more about the scale of the organ and the provenance of the whole assemblage. As a 1915 philanthropic gesture to the city by the sugar magnate, it continues to enthral visitors. Unfortunately we didn’t get to esperience a recital, as at our visit performances were only on a Saturday.
