Roque Nublo is considered one of the biggest crags in the world. It is 80 meters high and 1813 meters above the sea level and it was an ancient place of worship for the aborigines. Most group tours would just pass by it or at most stop to take some snapshots. By booking this tour you get to walk to the very base of it and breathe in the amazing and unique views. The Roque Nublo route starts from the main road, from where we walk 1.5 kilometres to the proximity of the natural monument and its brother, Roque de la Rana. Before getting there, we go past another natural monument, el Roque de El Fraile. This route, which is 5km long allows us to see the great dams of Las Niñas, Chira and Soria and the towns of Artenara and Acusa. The views from Caldera de Tejeda, Llanos de la Pez and Pozo de las Nieves are well worth the effort the route entails.

Top! Full 5 stars ***** We booked a day tour with Sergio as a family. Two days before the tour, Sergio introduced himself personally by email and asked us about our preferences and wishes. The private tour of the island was scheduled for 6-7 hours. We had already visited the typical tourist tours of Gran Canaria in the past and were curious to see what Sergio can show us in addition. Result: We were able to experience the true beauty and overwhelming views of the island on this day and were absolutely thrilled. We saw so many fantastic beautiful spots and fell in love with the island all over again. We were so overwhelmed that we didn't even notice that the tour ended up being 9 hours. Sergio took a lot of nice photos on the side. From the landscape - but what was even better: he also took pictures of us as a family and just gave them to us the next day. So we have wonderful memories of a wonderful day with a very friendly and charming guide. Thank you Sergio!

This is such a wonderful tour run by Juanjo and Ines (& Lopita) and we recommend it 100%! We arranged to be collected from our hotel in San Agustin at 9am - a spacious and comfortable van with air conditioning. Seats are arranged in two rows of 3. En route, we were given an enthusiastic talk about the history and archeology of Gran Canaria - so much detail and love for this gorgeous island. We were treated to great music, informative videos and stories of legends! We were back around 6pm. The roads are incredible - hairpin bends winding up steep mountains rewarding us with stunning views of ancient volcanoes, rock formations and scenery which could be dry and relatively barren to forested and farmed, (depending on whether we were North or South). Well done, Juanjo for your skilful driving, not made any easier by the numbers of cyclists you had to negotiate too! We stopped at little museums overlooking breathtaking valleys, cave houses, viewpoints and then there was a small feast ALL made by Ines - absolutely delicious Canarian treats, washed down with a choice of water, soft drinks, beer or wine and something special from the Magic Backpack! After lunch and more beautiful sites, we had a coffee stop then to the amazing fortress and ancient caves with remnants of carvings and symbols. Spectacular views. This was the final point on our journey where the Magic Backpack rewarded us with one more treat to end a superb day. Thank you for a brilliant day! Went on a few "enduro" tours with Manuel. He seemed to know all the trails like the back of his hand and had some great suggestions adapted to our bike skills and fitness. The tours included our own shuttle/support car that took us up and stayed around the mountain roads on the way down in case we needed tools/a ride up a climb. Starting from the top of the island and making your way down is an awesome experience. The level of service provided was exceptional; At the time there were no proper enduro bikes available for rental so we rented elsewhere - not a problem, Manuel picked us up and let us off where we rented the bikes. On one tour one of the bikes (again, rented elsewhere) broke down and the weather was terrible (not enough clothes on our part) - Manuel offered to abort the tour, give us a full refund and try again a few days later. I hope I come back and get to ride with these guys again!
