Great tour.... Picked us seamlessly at our hotel, grabbed people from one other hotel and headed out. Once there, we were handed off to our guide nice lady whom passed headphones and transponders so we could hear her tour without having to be right next to her. Great idea!!! Since the palace can get packed and noisy. Very informative tour. Tour ended and you were allowed about 90min free time to do whatever before van came back. We used the time to have lunch/breakfast at crepe place very close and very good. Got dropped off at home around 3:30pm.

Let me add to the list of glowing reviews for this tour service. At the outset, setting up the tour with Deborah was smooth and professional. All of my questions were answered promptly. The day before the tour I received a text from Jozef to confirm arrangements and to advise on Normandy weather conditions. Jozef met us at our Paris hotel at 6:30 AM. He has a comfortable van which easily held the 4 of us. As we drove to Normandy we got to know each other and Jozef began to give us background on the events surrounding D Day. We marveled at Jozef's depth and breadth of knowledge. He is a treasure trove of information, and conveyed that information with passion and respect for the subject matter. It is impossible in a short post to review the entirety of the day. Suffice to say we started with the events in the zone in which American paratroopers deployed, moved to the D Day beaches and ended at the American cemetery. A very moving day. We all agreed the the tour with Jozef was the highlight of our 18 days in France! Jozef has even provided me with a list of follow up books on the subject. Can I give 6 stars? When we return to France we will be using PT/Jozef for other tours.

This tour was perfect for our family. We wanted to go to Normandy but were not confident figuring out all of the trains to/from Paris so finding one that left from Paris was just what we needed. The weather was touch and go leading up to our scheduled tour date but Josef was in constant communication with us on what to maybe expect, if some things might be closed, what possible back up plans could be... thankfully we said lets just do and we are so glad we did! Josef was great, super knowledgeable and informative. It ended up being such a perfect day!

Rene did a great Jon telling stories that you will never get from a history book or even movie. He has many small unique stories that show the magnitude of the war. I highly suggest even if you are not very interested in WWII. He can point at several sights and tell you their history and stories.

Every five star review written on Trip Advisor is correct - Rudy’s tours really are that good. Time for a mea culpa - I’m really picky. I mean really picky. The amount of vacation time granted in the US is shameful and I want the tiny amount of time we do get to be perfect - there’s just not enough time for a do over. I can’t find one fault from our time with Rudy. It was simply the best. After reading the Trip Advisor reviews we sent Rudy an e-mail asking for an in depth tour of Normandy. We explained that we’re both WWII history buffs and really want to understand what the Allies went through. Rudy wrote back almost instantly and advised that we needed a minimum of two full days to hit the highlights. Rudy explained why two days (or even longer) is necessary - distance to cover, number of things to see, etc. Rudy picked us up at our Normandy B&B on the first day and headed to Brecourt Manor where we were able to speak one of the longtime owners whose Grandfather and Father operated Brecourt during the occupation. The pictures, stories, and walk down a hedge lined road to the gun battery placement started to bring into perspective just how horrible these hedge rows were for the Allies and the advantage they gave the Germans. Seeing it on countless documentaries, reading about it in several books, it’s hard to realize the magnitude without being there. Rudy takes you to places off the beaten path that I’m sure aren’t even on other tour companies radars. You’ll pull over to the side of the road, get out, walk a bit, and Rudy will take out his iPad, show a picture of a soldier or soldiers and engulf you in a story of what happened to those very soldiers in the spot that you’re standing in. It brings it all to a whole new reality. Rudy’s stories are wonderful, unbiased, and captivating. The time spent at Point du Hoc, Omaha, and Utah beaches was just amazing. Rudy never rushes you - he knows where to send you and stays back giving time to really reflect and attempt to put yourself in the shoes of the soldiers. It’s sobering, to say the least. Our time at the American Cemetery was so educational. I learned things that still have me in awe now one month later...and am not ashamed to say that the tears flowed when taps was played in the evening as the flag was lowered. Take a tour with Rudy - it is worth every penny. Rudy’s sense of humor, stories, outlook, and being an all around great guy make for a wonderful trip. If you are a true WWII history buff don’t waste anymore time looking. Book with Rudy. We will be back for another tour.

My husband and I were on a short trip to Paris for his work. On the day he had mostly off, we had Frederic drive us to Bruges since we had never been to Belgium and the pictures looked amazing. After a very comfortable ride there, Frederic started a walking tour with us in the morning and we quickly realized the pictures did not do this quaint city justice! We felt like Disney had created this perfect little town for people to see. Frederic walked us around before we stopped for lunch together. He was going to leave us to dine alone but we asked him to join us because we enjoyed his company so much and we wanted to hear more about the city. After lunch, he gave us the option of having him continue to walk us around or we could explore on our own. We chose to explore on our own since we felt he had given us such a good overview that morning. We had plans to tour the Chocolate Museum but when we arrived, it was closed due to the time of year. We actually didn't mind much and we just spent the day wandering the beautiful streets around the canals and stopping for hot chocolate and waffles. I would highly suggest a visit to Bruges to feel like you have stepped back in time. Speaking of time, we toured in January and lucked out that it wasn't extremely cold. The crowds were very low so it was easy to wander the streets and sometimes we found ourselves the only ones exploring the small alleyways. I would definitely return to Bruges one day and would highly suggest taking this tour especially if it is your first visit or if you have very limited time in the city.

Our family of 6 had a terrific time visiting Mont St Michel and the DDay sites. Iain customized an itinerary that worked perfectly for us. He was a pleasure to work with as we planned our visit. We started with an early morning pickup at CDG and an interesting drive along the cheese route to Mont Saint Michel. After seeing the incredible sunrise over the MSM Abbey, we continued onto Bayeux and this was where Iain shined. His knowledge of the DDay sites and WWII history was incredible and he kept everyone's interest, which is notable as we ranged in age from adult, to college students, to an 11 year old. Unfortunately, we were forced to change our plans for our last day in Normandy due to illness and Iain was very flexible and supportive. He drove us back into Paris that evening. I would highly recommend NormandyONtour.

I took my first trip to Paris with my then 6 year old son, Xavier, in May 2019. We visited lots of places on our 14-day vacation. On our visit to Monet's House and Garden, we had a picturesque spring day. The drive to the cottage was wonderful as well as the drive back into Paris. The sunshine made the flower and water gardens come to life! I captured a million photos including pics with the garden staff. The tour of the house was like walking through time. It felt truly Parisian country cottage and explains why Monet was so inspired here. Monet was a huge collector of Japanese prints and there are over 200 throughout the house. The livingroom/studio houses many of the master's great works and I was shocked to see how open they were to the public. There is even a Renoir hanging in the hallway on the way to Monet's bedroom (MIND-BLOWN). I highly recommend this tour as it was an incredible experience!!
