A short 95 minute trip from Vienna. Well worth ed with a driver and guide that were over nice and knowledge. Would be great to spend a few days.

Being international travellers, getting to a remote part of Slovakia is not easy but Active Travel Slovakia picked us up from our hotel and enabled us to visit the Bojnice Castle as well as other key points of interest in the region. During the trip, we were also able to find out much about Slovakian history and culture as our guide was very knowledgeable on this.

6. Slovakia - Tour from Krakow

The tour will begin with the visit at the Oravski Castle the most attractive tourist region in the northern Slovakia. The impressive complex of castles built between the 13th and 17th century on the top of the rock hill – 110 meters over the ground. The 2nd stop is Vlkolinec – situated in the centre of Slovakia, is a remarkably intact settlement of 45 buildings with the traditional features of a central European village. It was added to the UNESCO List. The third stop is made in the picturesque town – Ruzemberok, in a scenic restaurant serving traditional Slovakian food. Then you will continue your tour by visiting the Liptovskie Lake and the medieval town of Liptovsky Mikulas and e which was once an important center of crafts where different guilds were formed (smiths, furriers, tailors, hatters and butchers). Auschwitz was closed but we were in Krakau so we had time to go to Auschwitz. Prime tours gives us the opportunity to see as much as possible. Our driver knows a lot about it and gives us the best places to see the camps. In the van there was a video about Auschwitz wit a lot of information. When covid is almost gone we come bqck and do the original tour by Prime Tours. But even when it’s closed Prime tours can give you the best trip to the camps.
