Things to do in Rome, Lazio: The Best Gear Rentals

May 30, 2021 Claudia Navarrete

Rome wasn't built in a day--and you'll need much more than a day to take in this timeless city. The city is a real-life collage of piazzas, open-air markets, and astonishing historic sites. Toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain, contemplate the Colosseum and the Pantheon, and sample a perfect espresso or gelato before spending an afternoon shopping at the Campo de’Fiori or Via Veneto. Enjoy some of the most memorable meals of your life here, too, from fresh pasta to succulent fried artichokes or a tender oxtail stew.

My husband has his own motorbike and motorbike licence so wanted to rent a scooter to see other parts of Rome. We found these guy who were lovely from the second we arrived. Told us about how dangerous the roads could be, asked us if there was a reason we wanted to rent one etc. When they were satisfied my husband was safe and confident enough to drive, they told us which one they recommended to us to use comfortably and even offered my husband to take a test drive. Paperwork was easy and straight forward, we were given a map and asked on what we fancied seeing and shown the best/ easiest way to get there and how the roads worked (a lot of one way systems) told which areas to avoid before being kitted out with helmets. My husband was then shown all parts of the bike, how everything worked and provided with everything he needed. We had the bike for 24 hours and saw so much more than we had in the previous 2 days we had walked around. On returning the bike it was as simple as dropping the helmets and keys off and they asked if we had a good time So simple, stress free and just good customer service - would highly recommend
