I unfortunately cannot recommend this tour operator. I booked a tour with them and got the information that the tour was fully refundable. Given the Corona crisis, I had to cancel my tour. After the initial information that refunds need a bit longer (which I fully understand), nothing happened. I still haven´t received the refund after months and I have not received any information when/if this will happen at all, either. Any attempt to contact the company is being ignored. Neither do they answer to messages nor phone calls. Very disappointing...

Having experienced wine tours in southern France, and other wine growing regions in other countries and having members in our family that are in the wine business. I understand the importance of selecting and having local guide that is from the region and has a passion for wine to inform you about the local variations. This is why I would recommend a private tour with this outfit.

Food is undoubtedly one of Lyon's most beloved traditions. Since 1935, the city has been considered the world capital of gastronomy. When Lyon's culinary traditions were being forged, the famous "Mères Lyonnaises" (Lyonnaise Mothers) managed to turn Lyon cuisine into an institution. Today, male chefs dominate the scene, like the famous Paul Bocuse, however it is the women who evolved the renowned cuisine. We'll guide you through this gastronomic journey infused with passion, history, and exquisite French food and wine. Find out why eating and drinking are not just a pastime in Lyon, but a way of life. As a private tour, everything works around you! Our start times are much more easy going, dates can open up. It's a much more intimate and cozy experience. No need to shout over other tourists, you will have every question answered, and leave feeling like a native yourself!

My girlfriend and I were extremely lucky the day of our tour as we were the only people scheduled for the day: we got an exclusive private tour with the wonderful Eillin. She began the tour by handing us fresh croissants to eat while we strolled through the historic Vieux Lyon, ducking through various hidden traboules and secret areas that made me feel like I had lived in Lyon myself. Not only was the tour great, but Eillin was incredibly kind. She made sure to ask if we had any food allergies or general dislikes and made an effort to learn more about us so that she could tailor the experience to our liking. We were given various pastries and snacks throughout the tour, and finished with some classic Lyonnais dishes. This tour is not only great for food, but for learning about the history and architecture of Lyon as well. The tour is very well-paced and provides a wide selection of the best of Lyon while still being a relaxing and enjoyable experience. When the tour came to an end, it was a somber moment, as we easily could have spent the entire day with her. 10/10 tour and 10/10 tour guide, would recommend to any and everyone visiting Lyon with a few hours to spare. You will be in excellent hands!

Such an amazing food tour! We were honored to be Paulines first customers after the lockdown and enjoyed a little different but still memorable food tour through the old town of Lyon. Pauline is a very friendly, competent and authentic tour guide. She told us a lot about Lyon’s history and particularities, showed us the hidden spots of the city and gave us some great restaurant recommendations for later. Our favorites were the silk workshop and the beer & chocolate tasting. Pauline showed us some of Lyon’s finest foods and we highly recommend her tour!

Lyon has always been a foreign travel target of ours, so being able to go, finally, was amazing. This tour tied everything together and exponentially amplified the visit to Lyon. The tour started off with some sweet bites, that were Lyon specialties. And then the tour moved on to more savory things, like charcuterie and a bouchon spread. Along the way, particular landmarks were pointed out and emphasized, whether historic or "amusement" in nature, like the cinema history museum (which I really want to go to!). The guide, Vincent, is a natural at being a tour guide. You can't ask for a better person to lead you through Old Town Lyon. His enthusiasm is contagious and his knowledge is impeccable. He was especially great because we were originally supposed to go on this trip in October (and do the tour then), but ran into a passport issue and had to delay our trip. Because of that, Vincent was very flexible in working with us to reschedule our tour. This tour is informative...it is fun...and it's delicious! Highly recommended.
