We had a wonderful 6 day tour around the country wtih Friend in Iceland. As I came with my father, we chose to go on a guided tour, which made our trip much more easy, we did not have to think about anything. Gunnar made it sure we see the important places, but also took us to less visited and even more beautiful areas. He was flexible and adapted the tour to our interests and needs, but still made it sure to make the most of our trip. It was actually driving with a local, who shared all the important facts and stories. We were very lucky to have him available to tour us around and to be able to visit the country in these difficult times, which also meant the places were much less filled with tourists. It is an amazing country and I hope to come back again soon and visit other places with Friend in Iceland. Thank you for everything!

I rented this wifi for 2 weeks. It worked great! I needed to return it earlier than expected and they said once I returned it they would refund the unused days. It comes in a small box with charging cable. Once done you can mail it back at the airport. Only hiccup was picking it up. Normally you can pick it up at the airport but due to covid it wasn’t possible. I was advised to pick it up at a store in Reykjavik- only the hrs listed were not accurate. I dont fault the company- everything was changing fast almost daily due to covid updates/changes. I still recommend trawire.

I traveled in February, the motorhome seemed lovely at first but oh boy was I in for a surprise, with temperatures below -3celcius the heater stopped working and I ended up staying at hotels two night in a row, there is no other way to say this but the company never took responsibility or where they helpful in any way, I would never ever recommend anyone to rent with them no matter the price because at the end the prices will skyrocket. I payed for all of their services and even all of their insurances and they never helped, not once. Even the so called "Manager" told me that they would give me back a compensation and its been over 8 months and nothing. I would never ever consider them.

My husband and I took this as our first excursion on our first night in Reykjavik. Bjarní and his wife were terrific hosts! He picked us up at our hotel, and kindly stopped me by a grocery/market on our way to his flat. His SUV was roomy and clean. He is very friendly, and easy to talk to. At their home, they served the traditional Icelandic foods as appetizers. His wife made us a wonderful and delicious roasted lamb with vegetables. He then taught us to make a traditional dessert, in which my husband got to participate. It felt like catching up with friends. He was going to drive us to a viewing point for the bortjern lights, but the tracker showed very little activity. So he drove us back to downtown Reykjavík for a little tour, and we stopped at one of the famous churches down there for picture. I’m so glad we eased into our trip with this experience!
