Canyoning is a sport combining water sports and rock-climbing: it consists in tracing the courses of small mountain streams as they plunge their way downhill. Hemmed in by towering rock faces, using carefully thought-out techniques to overcome obstacles in your path such as small waterfalls, potholes formed by the water in the rock, chutes(natural waterslides)and sudden falls. The right gear is supplied: 5mm neoprene wetsuit, backpack, helmet and harness. You bring your trekking boots or equivalent that can withstand being soaked through, swimwear and a tshirt, best in synthetic fibre as it will get wet and a change of clothes for afterwards.
