Orbetello is a cute coastal town, backed by hills and fronted by the lagoon with the sea beyond. The village is completely pedestrianized, making it a safe and charming place to wander through the narrow streets while soaking in the atmosphere and sun. There is a peppy piazza with ocher buildings decorated with awnings and vine-festooned doorways. Attractive tables are sprinkled around for outdoor dining. The main corso is lined with interesting shops. There is a plethora of restaurants and caffes. Once in Civitavecchia do not miss this unique area of Italy. Furthermore, if you like visiting eco-system area, this is the place that worth seeing.

If you have been to Rome before & have seen all the sights, this should be your next ‘excursion’. We had a private driver take us to Tivoli where we met our private guide...a Roman history schoolteacher who was filling in for a friend. She was sooo knowledgeable! It was HOT, but there was water along the way. The history of Hadrian (Adrian to the Italians) was mind-boggling!! Amazing how they could build what they did in only 20 years! The second part of the tour was nearby & much more lush & beautiful (see pics). Lunch was on our own. Tour guide had a few recommendations. Loved the one we chose (see my review). I liked that we had time for a leisurely lunch nearby before we met our driver for the trip back to our hotel.

My adult daughter and I visited Bibonna, Italy during Easter weekend and wanted to do visit local wineries. I did not want to drive so that I could enjoy the tastings so we booked a 5 hour tour with Monica. She was FABULOUS!! Monica is a taxi driver, licensed tour guide and sommelier...the perfect combination. We saw the beauty of the region, learned about the history of Tuscany and the importance of wine and olives to the area, and visited two amazing wineries. Monica was flexible and accommodating to make stops for pictures and answer all of our questions. The booking process was easy and she customized the trip to our needs. Monica communicated with me often leading up to our trip and called me when she knew we would be arriving to welcome us to Tuscany. She confirmed the pickup time at our hotel and was there early to ensure we got the most of our day. My daughter and I had an amazing experience and Monica was well balanced in making us feel like we had a friend guiding us, as well as giving us space to share the moments with each other. She has a great relationship with the staff at the wineries and makes sure you get the most out of the experience. She loves her home region and the wines they make and her love of all that is infectious. I would highly recommend any sort of tour of the Tuscan region with Monica, but would encourage you to let her guide you to the more local and out-of-the-way destinations. You will experience what most tourists do not. I plan to return on a trip with my husband and guarantee you we will be calling Monica!

Intact, unspoiled nature in the Maremma Park with a carriage ride of about an hour or, depending on the availability of the Park Guides or bookings within the park system, we could change with Easy Nature Walk with narratives of legends, pirate stories, kidnapped girls and sea monsters. The duration is approximately 1 hour and a half. The Tarot Garden is, together with the Park Guell in Barcelona, the only splendid example of artistic architecture that the whole world envies us!

What an amazing day! It started with truffle hunting with Roberto and his two dogs - Ori and Chloe! We learned a lot about truffle hunting and how the dogs are trained. Chloe was 'in training' and it was fun to see how Roberto used both dogs. They found about 12 truffles in all of various sizes! Then we headed to a small family winery where we ate the fruits of our labor!!! We had a 4 course 'absolutely delicious' meal, tasted a lot of great wines, in addition to olive oil and honey! We even bought a bottle of wine to take with us and watched Sylvia add the DOCG label by hand (which are closely tracked by the region)! We had a great tour guide, Paelo, with us the entire day! He picked us us at our farmhouse, was our translator when needed, was very courteous and informative! I would highly recommend this very unique experience! And I would recommend Tuscany Private Tours. They were very easy to communicate with and very responsive!

Castiglione della Pescaia is a fortified village overlooking the sea, a balcony overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. From here you can enjoy a panorama of rare beauty, among the most "rich and sweet in the Maremma". The view ranges from the Uccellina mountains to the heights of Punta Ala, from the coast drawn between the intense green of the pine forest and the blue of the sea; below, in the plateau (ancient kingdom of Lago Prile), the marsh of the Diaccia Botrona stretches out, with the elegant and evocative Red House in the foreground, one of the most representative examples of civil engineering that recalls the impressive reclamation work desired and built under the Lorraine. The well-preserved village has exposed stone streets, ancient portals, niches and arcades that chase each other ... all enclosed by mighty turreted walls. Castiglione della Pescaia is one of the most efficient tourist resorts of the Tyrrhenian Sea and in its canal port cradled fishermen's boats and "habituès" boats.

Inclusions: Professional and certified tourist and environmental guide.

Exclusions: Transportation to reach the starting point of the excursions.
