Loch Mor Cider

Our small batch, dry cider is made from apples pressed on site at harvest time when the fruit is full of flavour and then allowed to mature until Spring. Our family orchard, planted with cider and heritage apple varieties, is set in the beautiful countryside near Wellington, Prince Edward County. You’re welcome to relax at our cidery and enjoy a glass with the view.

Three of my girlfriends and myself rode bikes to loch Mor Cider Co, for my birthday this weekend. The staff was friendly, welcoming and had excellent service. The cider flight was a fun way to taste the different and delicious cider types! We also ordered some snacks which were tasty and helped fuel us for our next ride. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I’d love to go back when I am in Picton next.

We visited Hops & Heifers farm in June 2019 and are so happy we did. This was a fantastic experience. Both Rod and Lauren are welcoming and learned in their farm and the water buffalo that they take care of. We never realized how friendly the water buffalo would be or expected to get out of the truck and be able to actually pet them. On top of all of this, Julius the bull was the friendliest water buffalo ever. He rolled over to have his belly scratched. The other water buffalo all came up to greet us and get a scratch. The babies are really cute too and offered to be pet. Rod was wonderful in getting us around their wonderful property and was able to give us a great history of the property that has been in his family for generations. They also sell the buffalo mozzarella in all types and tastes on site. We really enjoyed the fresh buffalo mozzarella as well as the smoked mozzarella, which is really delicious. This was an unforgettable time that we will never forget.

Shed Chetwyn Farms

Working alpaca farm in Prince Edward County, ONtario Canada. While it is NOT a petting zoo and visitors cannot interact with the alpaca, they roam in this natural setting from pasture to paddocks, allowing guests to see these delightful, quirky animals up close. A converted chicken coop on the property serves as a shop showcasing yarns and other alpaca products produced locally and from international designers & fair trade farms

The alpacas are cute and inquisitive, sometimes they each have different "haircuts" after being shorn. Very nice alpaca fiber socks, sweaters, and other products. Worth visiting.

This is a lovely place to visit. They have different fields of flowers (sunflowers, lavender,...). This place is just beautiful and well groomed. The farm shop offers great products (antiseptic hand cleaner, soaps, cream, wine, oils and the list goes on). I had the pleasure to meet the owner and got great service both in french and english. I really appreciated this visit. I also had the pleasure of tasting 2 different mead. This summer, I had the opportunity to visit different lavender farms and this one is my favourite. If you are in the area, do visit this place.

A fantastic experience at any time and when in full bloom absolutely magical!! Products are home made and the best quality. Be respectful and follow COVID rules in place- if you are ill enough to have paperwork from a doctor you shouldn’t be out risking your life buying a lavender pillow in the first place- that is just stupidity. And to reject all other offers from the owner to allow you to shop safely without putting others at risk only demonstrates how selfish you are. Stupid and selfish. Stay home. Good job PEC lavender farm- you have an amazing business and you did the best you could dealing with someone that crazy.

Whether you are staying in Wellington or just passing through, you must stop in and purchase some of their fruit and veggies as well as some of their frozen home made pies, etc. their Tortiere Pie was delicious and we purchased three of them. You won’t be disappointed especially during Strawberry season. We actually picked our own at their farm across the way.
