Things to do in Portland, Oregon (OR): The Best Food & Drink

October 29, 2021 Frederic Celentano

You’ll wonder why you don’t live in Portland after you’ve visited this laid-back and friendly city. With a reputation for manicured parks, eclectic nightlife, fine micro-breweries and distilleries, and nature that cuts right into the city, Portland’s a Pacific Northwest must-visit. Don’t miss the famous Japanese Garden, one of the largest and most beautiful of its kind outside of Japan.

Rogue Distillery and Public House

Reviewed By 857suzannek - Portland, United States

My running buddies and I are signed up for the Rogue and back running challenges. After our run, we returned to Rogue Pearl for some hydration and eats. Their parklet is nicely built offering steady protection against cars and their umbrellas are the adjustable kind so they can be adjusted to accommodate shade based on where the sun is. Be sure to let the Rogue staff do the adjusting of the umbrellas!! Our server Colleen was quick to make the necessary adjustments. We had marionberry cider and Yellow Snow Pilsner and tater tot’s to start. The tots are perfect!!! The cider and Pilsner were soooooo refreshing! I had the cheese curd burger. It was delicious and it is LOT of food!! The fried cheese curds on the burger add a delicious crunch. The fries are a tasty side. The food and drinks were the perfect way to reward ourselves after our hot run. The best part of our experience was our server Colleen!! She is quick witted and incredibly efficient. We are looking forward to going back next week after our run to Pittock mansion!
