Buhalov Han - Center for crafts and cultural traditions

This place is an absolutely unique time machine! We had a great experience reviewing all the talent and all the great creations by many talented people - some were sewing (yes, sewing) jewelry, others were "bending" wood, wool, etc. It was a beautiful experience, the atmosphere was fantastic, the people were sweet and welcoming, and the smell of lavender was hypnotizing. Don't miss the Pateva House too - it is amazing in its own way! You can relive the past, observe how different herbs are being processed into cosmetics, try some rose juice or rose rakia, dress in traditional bulgarian costumes for this time period, wear the crown of the Rose queens - it is a must see!

Do go! Wander around the cobbled streets, take a pick at the few ( overpriced) antique shops, check the galleries, the Bulgarian Renaissance homes, climb to the top of the hills and take a look at the breathtaking views.

Wonderful view of the mountains and Asenovgrad. Large parking right next to the fortress. You can take a walk to the chapel of St. Atanas, for which there is a signpost. Walk along the Roman road, and anyone who wants to continue the walk can reach the river / Lyaskovska river /. Ideal place for relaxation.

It’s one of the best places in Plovdiv . Great decoration, beautiful music choices , very good coffee. It’s not very crowded so it’s rather quiet. The girl that prepared my coffee (it’s a self-service place btw) was extra polite and could speak some English. I totally recommend it!!
