Established in 2001, we were known as New Zealand Surf 'n' Snow Tours for 13 years. We have re-branded ourselves as Rapu which in Maori means 'to seek' and, we feel, captures the quest to find that perfect New Zealand adventure. During summer, we offer both day and multi-day Surf Tours. During winter, whether you are a skier, snowboarder or an outdoor adventurer we have snow tour options for you.

Piha Surf School offers surfing lessons for beginning, intermediate and advanced surfers. We are dedicated to spreading the "stoke" of surfing by teaching techniques that allow you to have fun and be safe in the water. Our instructors are world class surfers who are guaranteed to get you up and riding even it is your first time surfing.

Our academy has been created to teach, support and inspire keen surfers in a fun environment. The academy programmes and sessions provide a range of exciting opportunity to learn and develop alongside others. Both competitive and progressive options enable you to take your ability to the next level, improving your technique and to enjoy riding waves with like minded friends.

Your safety is our number one priority and that is why we are a Surfing NZ & Water Safety NZ accredited surf school.Our surf experiences are fun and build confidence and knowledge at surf beaches. We provide transport (on request), soft top surfboards, wetsuits, fun and qualified instructors and a day you will never forget.
