Restless Sea

I challenge anyone to sit for a while looking at this view and not feel their blood pressure lower and tranquility sneak in. Watching and listening to the ocean is one of life’s pleasures.

China Rock

Reviewed By wireless_in_CA

Stop number 6 gave us the opportunity to get out of the car and scramble over a bunch of rocks. This stop was noted as a small Chinese fishing village back in the 1800s. No remnants remain just blackened rocks likely due to the cooking fires. As we got closer to the edge of the rocks by the ocean we peered into some of the tide pools hoping to see some sea life. However they were surprisingly barren for some reason. We did find a couple of rocks comfortable enough to sit down and watch the waves come rolling in for a little while. Being low tide and calm, the action was relatively benign that morning. As we made our way back to the car, we noticed a ton of mussel shells littering the beach so something found this place to be a good source of food and the feasting has been ongoing for quite awhile. Worth a stop for its accessible rocky setting.
