Pardubice Region (Czech: Pardubický kraj; Polish: Kraj pardubicki) is an administrative unit (Czech: kraj) of the Czech Republic, located mainly in the eastern part of its historical region of Bohemia, with a small part in northwestern Moravia. It is named after its capital Pardubice. As an administrative unit, Pardubice Region has in the course of history existed three times. It was established for the first time in 1850, and extended from Český Brod to the Bohemian-Moravian border. In its second existence, it was one of 19 regions as they were set between 1949 and 1960. After 1960, Pardubice became the capital of Pardubice district, which made part of the Eastern Bohemian Region (capital Hradec Králové). The Pardubice Region as it is now was reestablished in 2000.

Firefighters museum Koci shows old fire engines from Czech Republic and other european countries. We can show you equipment used by firefighters since 20th century till nowadays. In our museum you will see also fire ladders, helmets, uniforms and axes. We have wheelchair access and big parking lot for you.

Museum of Crafts Letohrad

The Craft Museum was open on May, 18th 2000. It is placed in the listed area of Novy Dvur from 1750. With the area of 1650 m2, it is the biggest museum of its kind in the Czech Republic. It includes more than 50 compound expositions of crafts and trades from the period 1840 - 1930. Apart from relatively known professions such as a joiner or a woodcutter, work of a tinsmith (an extrusion man), a wheelwright, a cooper, a shingle maker and many others are presented here. The most interesting exhibits are carved mechanical open-air museum of crafts, mechanical workshops, an exposition of saw mill with three functioning frame saws and exposition of a schoolroom with folk costumes. There is also a exhibition called VEHICLE DEPOT which shows historical vehicles. After the tour around the museum the visitors can sit down in a stylish Restaurant Novy dvur, which is placed in the same building as the museum.
