Gurdwara Toka Sahib

Reviewed By GuruGhummakad - Kanchipuram, India

This is a unique Gurudwara, which is part of Haryana as well as Himachal Pradesh. Guru Gobind Singh ji stayed at this place and meditated at Tap Sthan, which is a little ahead of the main Gurudwara, on a small hillock. Once you reach there, it is absolutely calm and quite, best place to mediate. Gurudwara has a large pond and a langar hall, where food is served to all visitors. One is expected to cover the head and wear moderate dress to enter this place. After the meals, visitors are expected to clean the utensils and keep it back, to be used by next visitors.

Mata Mansa Devi Mandir

Reviewed By chithracb - Bengaluru, India

A long felt wish was fulfilled by visiting this holy temple in Panchkula. One of the Shakthi peetams. We as a family with old people opted to go to the Shrine using the lift. To access to the entry using lift is slightly a different way. It is a free service (using lift). Generally, people walking to the temple in an adjacent route, but if you ask for the way to use the lift service, they will guide you. Very neatly maintained temple. Mata welcomes you with a serene smile. Just before the sanctum sanctorum don't miss to see the various forms of Mata painted on the roof of the wall. There was no crowd when we visited. There are shrines for Lord Shiva, Ganesh and Anjaneya. I heard that they serve free food daily for the devotees and the temple is also kept open from morning till evening. Very much satisfied after having the darshan of Maanasa Devi.

Reviewed By davindersgrewal - Santorini, Greece

Gurudwara Nada Sahib, a Sikh Temple, situated on the banks of River Ghaggar in Panchkula commemorates the visit of Tenth Sikh Guru with his victorious Army on their return journey from Paunta Sahib to Anandpur Sahib. Pleased with the logistics services provided to Guru Gobind Singh and his army of men and horses during their stay here Guru Gobind Singh blessed Bhai Nadu Shah that the place would be known as Nada Sahib to honour him for the services rendered to the Guru and his men. The Tenth Guru also ordained that henceforth anyone who pays his obeisance here will have all his fulfilled. A beautiful Gurudwara has come up there with a prayer hall, a langar hall, a Jorha Ghar (for safe keeping of shoes while going to the Gurudwara), huge car parking, well equipped & comfortable rooms for the pilgrims and a market vending Sikh religion relics & souvenirs. The Gurudwara serves wholesome meals 24/7 to all pilgrims free of charge as per the norms of Sikhism. The Gurudwara runs a school for children and also a charitable dispensary. A visit to the Gurudwara Nada Sahib is a must for all Sikhs and other Believers to seek the blessings of the Tenth Master. Every Full Moon and also on Gurpurabs the Gurudwara is decorated with flowers and lights and special programs are held. Amrit Daan is given to all willing to strictly follow the Sikh tenets on Pooranmassi (Full Moon). May Guru Gobind Singh Ji shower his blessings on all mankind.
