Naseby Swimming Dam

We had a lovely swim at the dam on the day we arrived in Naseby. The kids enjoyed jumping off the diving board. Lovely spot with shade, a playground and toilets. Walking distance from the centre of town.

Lake Benmore Hydro-Electric Power Station

Reviewed By Sharpeze - Dunedin, New Zealand

A great example of an earth dam. Scenery is pretty spectacular especially if you happen to be there when they are spilling water. Plenty of areas to park and view/photograph from different angles. You can swim/picnic and freedom camp nearby.

Clyde Dam

Reviewed By mgreaney2018 - Wellington, New Zealand

I first visited before the dam was build back in the late 60's. I'm always a bit sad that the original town and orchards are under water now. At the same time it's great to create electricity and places for water sport.
