If you are looking for an active place to stay with world-class attractions, Ohio’s major cities can satisfy any vacation desire. Each offers its own distinct flavor of fun, from professional sports – Bengals (Cincinnati), Cavaliers (Cleveland) and Indians (Cleveland again) – to museums, outdoor activities and more. One of the most famous is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. If football is your thing, don’t miss the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. For the science-minded, visit the meat eaters at the Carnivore Conservation Center in the Wilds near Cambridge, dedicated to the breeding and scientific study of endangered mid-sized carnivores. Kids will also love Planet Snoopy in Sandusky or the Columbus Zoo’s Zoombezi Bay Waterpark and Jack’s Landing rides.

This "bulk" food store has just about any food item you might be looking for. This is a fairly large store that starts out with bulk-food items, then fresh produce, cheeses, and then a full deli offering all sorts of meats, cheeses, and sandwiches to-go (no inside seating areas to eat). The food is fantastic and tasty, the employees friendly and knowledgeable, and the store clean and bright. The prices are very reasonable. Several sampling stations are located throughout the store. A punch-card is offed as a way to reward customers for their loyalty. Much of the produce, cheeses, and meats are from local suppliers. A free, gravel parking lot surrounds the store. Located in Amish country, be aware of people on bikes, school zones, and horse-drawn buggies.

So much variety in one place. Unique items from a variety of artists. Since items are a little pricey but it's always worth a visit. Gets really crowded at special events and close to the holidays.

What began as a traveling hot shop over 25 years ago has become a 12,700 square feet non-profit glass art studio, with over 100 members, a gallery, and a mission dedicated to teaching and education. First experience classes give anyone an opportunity to play with fire and have a hands-on hot, warm, or cold glass art experience.

A major jewel in Downtown Akron, I've been coming here off and on for over 30 years and I've never been disappointed. The prices are reasonable and all of the nuts are fresh.

One of the largest bookstores in the country, it has expanded to 32 rooms and now contains nearly 750,000 books.
I love winding around in this book store, looking at anything that catches my eye, I love the built in shelves, the CD's playing in many of the rooms, and the wonderful helpful people that work there. There are tables of marked down books out front, Lots of author autographed copies throughout the store, & if you can't find what you're looking for they will order it right away. When I order online I always order through the book loft instead of Amazon so I can support a great independent book store.
