Things to do in North Holland Province, The Netherlands: The Best Visitor Centers

November 14, 2021 Enedina Augsburger

Mostly jutting northward from its largest city of Amsterdam and its capital of Haarlem, the Noord-Holland region has much more to offer beyond those two wonderful cities. At Muiden is the magnificent Muiderslot Castle, as if it stepped out of a fairy tale. Showing more wear but no less interesting is Brederode Castle at Santpoort. At Zaanstad is Zaanse Schans, one of Holland’s top tourist destinations and a family-friendly open air museum of windmills, traditional buildings, crafts and shops.

I Amsterdam Visitor Centre

Reviewed By StockholmKindaGuy - Marietta, United States

I Amsterdam has several offices, including this one outside the city's Central Station. I stopped here upon arrival, after having already purchased an I Amsterdam card for my four day stay. I wanted to get some additional tourist information. I Amsterdam is a major tourist company in the city. You can purchase cards for a varying number of days that get you into a whole host of tourist sights for free or at a discount. The card also includes free use of public transportation. The is a good value if your visiting a lot of tourist sights as well as using the various modes of transportation. The staff manning the offices are friendly, helpful and professional. There's offices in the train station and airport as well.
