Covid has closedown theatre for now, our costume racks and props tables are bare, a resounding quiet fills our empty space but we still yearn to tell a story. “The miserable have no other medicine but hope.” And so we hope that you will join us on our video journey, as we explore all of Shakespeare’s plays, nestled in our province’s beautiful spaces, as performed by our treasured artists. And that by the journey's end, we will find ourselves back together, in person, audience and artists, for a great play. The Power of One Be patient, for the world is broad and wide.

Citadel House has been bringing some of Newfoundland and Atlantic Canada's finest up and coming and emerging artists to the Citadel House venue in Lewisporte,NL since 2011. In the most recent years Citadel House has started curating and promoting concerts in small intimate venues around Central Newfoundland. Our mission is to help build a strong community of music discoverers who know that when they come to a Citadel House promoted event, they are going to be witnessing the highest caliber of talent. These venues also often offer the chance to meet the artist, in a no-pressure environment. In addition to this, we also host An Open Stage for the UnderAge in Lewisporte, where youth under the age of 19 have the opportunity to play a show, on a real stage, to their peers, in a warm and encouraging environment. We hope to inspire the youth of the area and give them the space to practice their stage presence and hone their craft.

Each year, Rising Tide Theatre is proud to present a full slate of original and award-winning plays produced and performed by a 45-person strong company of theatre professionals assembled from across the province. Our productions range from the famous outdoor walkabout the 'New Founde Lande Trinity Pageant', to our light and lively dinner theatre, to our array of plays performed in both the Rising Tide Arts Centre and Trinity Parish Hall as part of our Seasons in the Bight Festival.
Initially I wasn't too impressed to be taken to a theater in what to all intents is a VERY SMALL town. However, if you roll into Trinity, and you really should as it is simply stunning. Please go to this place, it is extremely well run and the play we saw was fantastic. Can't say a bad thing about the place or the theater.

In walking distance from a bank, liquor store, Pharmacy, a number of Bed and Breakfasts, and restaurants. the dinner theatre is perfectly located. The theatre also offers gluten free and kids' menu and has a fully licensed bar, serving local and domestic beers, wines and spirits. If you are looking for the friendliness of Newfoundland locals and outstanding food, this is the place to find it! The food (salmon) was served up hot & fast by cast and crew of the dinner theatre, and then we were entertained exuberantly by their talents and humour on the guitar, accordion, fiddle, banjo, tin whistle, the spoons and “Ugly Stick”! This local group communicates the passion of the people of Newfoundland with sincere songs and music perfectly to tourists who have “Come From Away!” Highly recommended!
