October 4, 2021 Kiesha Cripe

Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

What an incredible show! The actors were outstanding, think my husband and I had more fun than my 3 and 6 year old- it was a spectacular opportunity to transport ourselves into “another land” for an adventure - so professional, well put together, with an excellent professional team.

New Amsterdam Theater

The Historic New Amsterdam Theatre opened in 1903 and is currently home to the hit Broadway Musical ALADDIN..

When buying tickets for the production of "Aladdin" musical we did not pay attention to the theatre it was playing in: it was just the fourth (and the last) Broadway show on the "must" list. Well, we were very-very wrong! In addition to the great show we got a chance to admire the beautiful theatre interior, boasting great design and intricate details. The New Amsterdam Theater even has it's own exhibition! Unfortunately we did not have time enough to study all the showcases and items on display but we learned a bit about the theater's history, i.e. we learned that in the past it was home for the famous "Ziegfield Follies" troupe. Hope next time in NYC we' ll allocate more time for the tour of the New Amsterdam Theatre!

The space is designed with comfort in mind. All visitors can find things to do and never be just bored waiting for show to start or killing time in the intermission. We went again and this time was 42FT outstanding circus show, that they carefully crafted for the sensory vunrable kids and adults. The staff and the atmosphere engaged with the context right away and the show was amazing success. I highly recommend for all age entertainment lovers and is definitely our family favorite spot to visit.

American Airlines Theater

Fully renovated theater (formerly Selwyn) hosts the Roundabout Theatre Company. The troupe performs plays and musicals.

Reviewed By TravelFan48105 - Ann Arbor, United States

The American Airlines Theatre, in historic Italian Renaissance style was built in 1918 and eventually, after morphing into a movie theatre, was restored by the Roundabout Theatre Company, reopening in 2000 to stage its major productions. The theatre is small, seating only 740 persons. Sight lines are excellent and I doubt there is a bad seat in the house. I saw Bernhardt/Hamlet with Janet McTeer (now ended its run) and it was pretty good.

Saw this play on March 8th, 2020. LOVED it. There was something so interesting about the set, the actors, the flow. A story that was easy to listen to but also offered some twists and turns. The small theater made it feel like we were part of the play.
