Things to do in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (SC): The Best Nature & Parks

July 6, 2021 Malia Yoakum

Myrtle Beach is all at once a spring break destination, golfing destination, retirement community, and family vacation spot. Take in a foot-stomping show at the Carolina Opry, or cheer on your favorite knight at Medieval Times. Mingle with the fishermen of Springmaid Pier, then stop for ice cream along the boardwalk. Shop and dine at one of the area’s many outdoor entertainment complexes, or simply explore the many beaches of the Grand Strand – all with a personality of their own.

Tons to do here, mostly for younger children. Plenty of swings including those for special needs children. Clean facilities and even a working water fountain. The area is fenced in which is nice and there is a huge lake that my son enjoyed chasing geese at. The ground is rubber and padded for safer play. I was really impressed and wish I had a playground like this where I live. If your in Myrtle Beach and have little ones, I highly recommend going here.

Myrtle Beach

Create unforgettable memories while enjoying 60-miles of wide, soft sandy beach. Be sure to bring your beach towels, a sheet and/or beach chairs before you get here so you don't have to rent them. Wake up early in the morning, run along the ocean shore and take in the fresh air. It's good for your body, mind and soul! Want to sleep in? Grab a chair, sit down, let your toes sink into the soft sand and just relax in the afternoon while listening to waves rolling in.

Barc Parc South

Reviewed By B3Spooky - Glen Rock, United States

The park is just for RT 17 and a few minutes from Camp Bow Wow where our dogs were bording so we took them there each morning to play and see us each day. The pond that is located in one fenced area isn't great for the dogs and does have posted signs warning that the city does not check or maintain water quality so dogs have to swim at there own risk, but it is a nice walk around the ond and many dogs were playing in it. The smaller section that doesn't have a pond is shady and clean and folks at the park were all polite and helpful.

I Love Sugar (Myrtle Beach)

Much more than a candy store. I LOVE SUGAR is the world’s most incrEDIBLE candy experience. Founded in 2012 with a mission to disrupt and innovate the candy industry. Pushing the boundaries with state of the art design and extreme attention to detail is what we believe makes shoppers often refer to I LOVE SUGAR as "the Apple store of candy". The ability to execute dream-like creativity has led the brand to an intellectual property library that consists of over 20 design patents and trademarks. Many different forms of art including chandeliers hand made from over 30,000 cast Gummy Bears, giant mosaics made from many different candy molds and sculptures are all found throughout the spaces that we build creating a magical experience. We heART Candy. Combine all of that with every type of candy imaginable, mix it with love and an iconic brand, I LOVE SUGAR was born.

We visited the zoo the second week of June on vacation. We enjoyed the animals, being able to feed them, and to be close to them. The animals seem well taken care of but some of the property needs a lot of maintenance. That did not dampen our visit though! Would recommend and we will visit again.
