The 4 of us went to the Munich's Alte Pinothek Art Museum and it was fantastic there was so much to see and look at we had a great experiences looking around the art and the history it was just amazing worth the visit

Well worth spending time experiencing the artwork and special collections. The Thonet chair and Bauhaus exhibitions extensive and display techniques very effective.

It has a great collection with ancient Greek pottery and some etruscan items. Unfortunately, as in many museums in Munich, the descriptions are mainly in German. The staff in the front desk is very friendly and helpful, especially a young lady who is, by the way, speaking greek. Also, we had a very nice coffee and dessert at the museum's cafe.

This lovely castle near the English Garden is filled to the brim with objects of beuty and historical interest. The fact that this might not be to every one's taste was clearly attested by the fact that we were almost alone in the huge building. It is in a way an old fashioned museum but the objects are very well exhibited, lit and arranged.

The Königsplatz itself is a beautiful sight and a nice place to enjoy architecture. Not only the art and sculptures are impressive. The architecture of the vaulted ceilings and vaults is also fascinating, as is the play of light through the windows. In the middle of the building there is a small courtyard where you can sit, eat and drink. Munich's oldest public museum; the only museum in the world dedicated solely to ancient sculptures. The main works in the collection are "the Barberine faun", "the drunken old woman", "the boy with the goose", "the eirene with the ploutos boy" and the gable figures from the Aphaia temple in Aegina, the so-called Aegean. € 6 entry is perfectly reasonable and should be worth every art lover. Worth seeing and something completely different to all the great architecture and art in Munich!

I really enjoyed this museum as it had a great collection of German art from the 20th century. It gives a nice overview of art movements and artist originating in Munich and how they influenced global art. The day I went wasn’t too crowded, and I had some galleries to myself. The museum is spacious but not too large - in other words it’s not overwhelming and you won’t feel rushed to see it all. I’d recommend a few hours to see everything.

A really great collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Displays are written in both English and German and they have a few interactive computer screens you can use. There is a line that runs through the museum and you can follow it from room to room. It’s almost free when you go on Sundays it only cost one Euro!

a nice museum for any age group really, and with interesting artworks including from artists like Andy Warhol, Joan Miró, Picasso and others. Sundays are also open and usually free so definitely recommend going.
