Maribyrnong Park

Reviewed By 619jeffry - Essendon, Australia

We started off in Puckle Street, Moonee Ponds and walked down through Maribyrnong Park. We took the pedestrian bridge over the Maribyrnong River, watching out for the cyclists. We took a gravel path up the hill and arrived at the front of HIghpoint Shopping Centre, the heart of the West. We then walked over to Bunnings, to buy some harfware. We decided against retracing our steps to Puckle Street, as the walk had taken over two hours, so we took the 82 Tram to Moonee :Ponds Junction., The trip back took us around 20 minutes all up. We had a nice walk and saw some interesting sights.

Reviewed By 619jeffry - Essendon, Australia

Fanny Street Reserve is a great place for kids of all ages. And it has tables and benches, meaning it's a great place for a family day out. The park has a nautical theme, with an inclusive range of equipment, including a timber boat. There is a large boat rocker, and some smaller rockers. It's a friendly place for youngsters learning to to ride. For more mature riders, there's a BMX dirt track.
