This mountain is home to one of the most important religious sites in Spain. A residence for the Benedictine abbey, Santa Maria de Montserrat, the mountain is visited not only by those seeking spiritual rewards but also by those looking for one of the most spectaculars views of Catalonia. The history of Montserrat goes back to 880 when a group of shepherd children saw a bright light descending from the sky in the Montserrat mountains. It is the oldest press in the world, having published its first book in 1499. Music lovers will appreciate L'Escolania choir, a boys' choir of sopranos and altos based at the Benedictine abbey. We spent 3 days in Barcelona on a private tour with Barcelona's Best Tour Guide, Feliciano. We visited Montserrat, the wine district, Costa Brava and Barcelona city sights. Feliciano makes you feel just like family. He is warm, kind, funny and so knowledgable with impeccable English. What he doesn't know about the beautiful Catalunya region of Spain is probably not worth knowing. Our experience was so much richer in his hands. Can't wait to go back and again.

I definitely recommending this company and this tour as they are very welcoming and doing a job professionally, During a Pandemic (COVID-19) we have been on a business trip in Spain, France and we have had some free days, so it was interesting for us to able to do this tour or not? We have contacted this company and from the first, we received lots of accurate and to the date information about how to traveling in pandemic in Spain, what documents shall we carry on and … They car was extremely clean and leggy, with safety partition and for keeping the risk as low as possible, they were only us in the car and it was completely private tour. The tour was fantastically organized, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and always wearing a mask and we were finding that he is customizing a tour based on our interests. Extremely worthwhile and unique experience and hope this pandemic ended up soon and everybody can travel easily in the world like before .

Amazing experience with such good and friendly pilots. I did it with my family and we didnt know if it would be too scary for my little brother, but it wasn't at all, he had so much fun. Very peacefull trip and i would recommend it to everyone. One of the best experiences I ever had, and I will repeat it for sure. We had such an amazing time, specially the kids, because they even helped the pilots to swell the balloon. Thank you so much!

This is going to be a much delayed review and for that I am sorry. We used the service in September 2019 during our first Mediterranean cruise. It was our first big trip and I wanted my husband to LOVE the experience so I worked at finding providers that exceeded all expectations. Barcelona Day Tours did that for us. Communication prior and reservation was easy and well done. Airport arrival found our guide Christian exactly where we expected. We has a marvelous day and he kept us entertained with stories and the sights. We also had skip the line to Park Guell which worked great. As the tour was ending and jet lag starting to set in we got dropped off right at the entry to our cruise ship, no issues, no worries. I was so pleased with a super special private start to our big trip.

This tour was excellent. It was a private tour - just me + my 20 yr old son. Marc was our guide. He was very engaging + knowledgable. Everything he discussed was relevant and interesting. He met us at our hotel and brought us to the Jewish Quarter. That was key because a friend of mine never found it when she was there!! I highly recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our stay in Barcelona!

We had our excursion with David and he picked up us promptly when he said he would, and was a joy to spend the day with. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, funny, and accommodating to the physical restrictions of some of the members of our group. We even got rained on for a short time, and it only served to enhance the experience :) Montserrat is a Barcelona must see, and if you can make it Sitges, I highly recommend it! Thanks again David!
