I had a fifty minute massage with Carolynn that was relaxing. She listened to my preferences and helped me to completely relax. I was like butter. Next I went into a facial treatment with Luci. She also listened to my concerns and then took care to adapt to my preferences. I had the Vitamin C facial and it was just what I needed. From the check in and out with Ali at the desk to the outstanding service professionals who performed the treatments, I felt well pampered.

Spa on the Plaza

I needed an outdoor massage due to COVID bubble agreement and Spa on the Plaza was kind enough to accommodate even though they were able to offer indoor massages again. I was in a lot of pain and Ashlea gave me the massage I really needed. If you ask for an outdoor massage when they aren't offering them, like I did, keep in mind that they don't have a reason to maintain the pool area when it's not being used. That's just good sense, not something to review anyone negatively about. Ashlea checked many times to make sure I was warm enough (TBH, I enjoyed the cold temps and the contrast of her warm hands on my skin) and she was fine with me keeping my airpods in and keeping the talking to a minimum so I could check out and relax. Really looking forward to going back in the future when I'm vaccinated and the spa is operating normally again, will be asking for Ashlea every time

Monterey Day Spa

Reviewed By curestupidity - Monterey, United States

After a bad experience at another spa, I was ecstatic to get ahold of Carey, the owner, to get an an appointment here. What a life-altering experience! Carey was very attentive and personable. She listened to my request and my situation. She texted and emailed to keep me updated and ensure I was cared for. When I got to the appointment, what a great experience! From the moment we (a friend and I were traveling for work) walked in, the fragrance of the spa was so soothing and pleasant. We were greeted immediately and it was very beautiful. The owner checked us in and introduced each of us to our therapists. I was cared for by Elexia. Wow. Her voice was so soothing and her skills were above and beyond what could only be described and heaven-sent. She knew exactly where I hurt, how hard to push, and just where my therapeutic edge was without even asking. I came in for my appointment in a lot of pain and high stress. I left as an entirely new person, completely relaxed and in euphoria from the pain and stress relief. Everything from the front door to the linen in the rooms was carefully selected and gave a wonderful feeling of zen. I will ABSOLUTELY be returning, as I am now a member of their loyalty program! This was the BEST experience ever. My only complaint is that I cannot take them back home (east coast) with me!
