Things to do in Mojkovac Municipality, Mojkovac Municipality: The Best Points of Interest & Landmarks

The bridge on the river Tara was built in 1934. In order to slow down the retreat of German troops during WWII, Partisans mined part of the bridge, which was renewed in 1950, reflecting the original bridge design.

The work of sculptor Drago Djurovic and architect Mirko Djukic, this monument was erected to mark the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Mojkovac. It is located at a stone elevation on the right bank of the Tara river. A motif of this monument is found on the coat-of-arms of the Municipality of Mojkovac.

This monument to the Commander of the Montenegrin Sandzak Army in WWI, Count Janko Vukotic, is the work of sculptors Svetomir and Svetozar Radovic, and is located in the very centre of Mojkovac.

At Bojna Njiva, which was the scene of the fiercest fighting during the Battle of Mojkovac, there is a monument erected in 1996, to mark the 80th anniversary of this Battle. Remains of trenches from the battle can still be seen near the monument.

This memorial complex is one of the most important monuments erected to honour the fallen partisans of WWII. At the initiative of the families of the fallen in the 1960s, the Partisan Memorial Cemetery was built in Grotulja, along with a monument to fallen fighters and victims of the war.
