I had an amazing dive experience with La Sirène. It's a family business: Youssef and Wadia in particular are vastly experienced (over 20,000 dives combined in Djerba alone) and the rest of the family and crew are just great people in general. I had to come back, and ended up completing 12 dives and my Nitrox course with them. Discover scuba diving courses are very professionally done in a nearby reef, in around 6m of water which is great for beginners. There are plenty of WW2 wrecks offshore (sunk in combat) and one has three small tanks nearby which was a huge bonus. Overall they're great value for money and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to dive in Djerba in future.

It is a garrison boat of the 2nd World War which made a route from Libya to Tunisia, it is about 40m long, a third of which is silted up. It rests on a bottom of 20m maximum. Electric aircraft cables, gas masks and telecommunications equipment are found on board aircraft engines. It is 4.3MN from the club about 10mn. There are some pretty porcelains, many military equipment, many discoveries are still to be made on this wreck. The fauna is composed of liches, corbs, and some not shy groupers who are even quite curious, hermit crabs, and many nudibranchs.

Three wildly disparate attractions – a museum of Islamic art, a heritage village and a reptile park – are on offer at this strange tourist attraction next to the Taguermes Lighthouse. The most popular element is 'Crocodile Island', an enclosure where semi-somnolent crocs recline on rocks in a large pool and are fed by keepers in a theatrical thrice-weekly spectacle. Even more impressive is the Lalla Hadria Museum, which showcases a world-class collection of calligraphy, costumes, ceramics, bronze work and carpets from Islamic countries. Though well-intentioned, the small heritage zone is underwhelming. It includes a hũch (house for an extended family built in the shape of a fort) with a makhzen dhiāf (greeting lodge), hanūt al fakh'khar (pottery workshop), matbakh (external kitchen), h'ovanet en'cīja (weaving hut) and mâassra (oil mill and press). The large, modern whitewashed complex includes souvenir shops and a few restaurants and cafes.
Inclusions: Djerba Explore Admission Ticket (Village - Museum - Crocod'iles)
Exclusions: Hotel pickup and drop-off from hotels in Djerba (we can arrange for an extra charge)
It’s worth visiting at certain times. We went late afternoon which just happened to be the feeding time for the crocs. Before that, they were just lying still which was pretty boring, but when they get the food out there is a lot of activity
