Fort du Bois-du-Four

Located in the heart of the Fortified Sector of the Crusnes, the Bois du Four A5 is one of the few monolithic works of the Maginot line. Built in 1932, the single block of 6,000 m3 of reinforced concrete between accumulated other artillery observatories, close defense cuirasses, three anti-tank guns of 47 mm, 5 twinning of machine guns, 1 rotating turret to eclipse 96 tonnes 2 and 81 mm mortars.

Not faraway from the place Stanislas, more quit and calm, but also very nice with a splendid fountain creating by an artist,, a veritable masterpiece; some benchs, and nice buildings and appartments around; an elegant district from the XViii century.
