Things to do in Los Angeles, California (CA): The Best Fun Activities & Games

June 28, 2021 Jasper Kershner

Hollywood beckons to tourists who long for a brush with Tinseltown glamor. Tour movie studios, slip your hands into the famous prints at the TCL Chinese Theatre, or indulge in a celeb sighting at one of LA’s white-hot nightspots. Spot your favorite star while shopping at The Grove, or forget all about the famous eye candy as you take in the iconic artwork at The Getty Center. For a different type of star-gazing, peek through the telescopes at the Griffith Observatory.

Stash House

A Los Angeles escape room that is all about Los Angeles culture... crime culture. Your group has been invited to a seemingly-normal Koreatown apartment owned by a local entrepreneur to discuss a business opportunity. Shortly after arriving, you discover the apartment belongs to Ray Jones, notorious Los Angeles drug kingpin, and that Ray has a test in store for you: find all the drugs hidden in the space and flush them before the cops arrive or face the consequences.

IF YOU'RE INTO ESCAPE ROOMS, DO STASH HOUSE. After experiencing Stash House, it immediately flew into my top 3 rooms. I've done 20+ escape rooms, mostly in the Los Angeles area, so I wouldn't call myself an escape room addict, but I'm definitely not inexperienced. The puzzles were quite inventive which makes for exciting discoveries in the room. This is room quite big for even 6 people to explore, which is how big my group was. By LA escape room standards, this is quite big and the room makes very good use of the space by using the puzzles to tie many parts of the room together. I'd recommend 4-5 people for this room. Less than 4 is great if everyone is very experienced in doing escape rooms. GO DO STASH HOUSE!

With friends I’m having an escape room holiday in LA. We did three in Maze Rooms (Lunar Mission, Magic Kingdom and Sky Odyssey) and loved all of them! Especially the last two are within the best I’ve done so far. Very beautiful and immersive and great puzzles. Special shout out to our wonderful and excellent host Luke! ????????

ALL ABOARD the Nautilus! It took us just 47 minutes to escape this under the sea adventure. Great for kids! (There are even a few things for the youngest sailors to find.) We loved communicating with each other to solve and prove that we can defeat the sea monster!! Good luck escaping and proving yourself to be captain! We had a blast! Thanks 60out!
