Leadville is the statutory city that is the county seat and only incorporated municipality in Lake County, Colorado, United States. The city population was 2,602 at the 2010 United States Census. Situated at an elevation of 10,152 feet (3,094 m), Leadville is the highest incorporated city and the second highest incorporated municipality in the United States. A former silver mining town that lies near the headwaters of the Arkansas River in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, the Leadville Historic District contains many historic structures and sites from its dynamic mining era. In the late 19th century, Leadville was the second most populous city in Colorado, after Denver.

My daughter and I love stones, minerals, crystals, etc. We were SOOO excited to find this little shop on the main drag in Leadville. They have an impressive fossil collection and stones, gems and crystals from all over the world. Extensive offering of books and guides as well. Interesting place to spend some time if in Leadville. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff too!

We came for the ski Joring event and stumbled onto this store almost 10 years ago. I ought a pair of the fleece pants which I still have and wear every winter....they have held up perfectly and are as good as the day I purchased them. Can’t wait to buy more. Perfect winter wear for those of us who live in and love the mountains.thnaks guys for the awesome job!

I always enjoy stopping and finding a hidden gem in this huge warehouse full of antiques. Two floors filled with something for everyone. Just the large floor to ceiling wall of small drawers will take you back in time when the shopkeeper knew everyone and where everything was stored. A fun place to visit and maybe you will find that hidden treasurer too.
