Things to do in Lake Maggiore, Piedmont: The Best Bars & Clubs

August 24, 2021 Brain Ambrose

On the south side of the Alps, Lake Maggiore is the second largest lake in Italy. Since the climate is mild year-round, the area is filled with Mediterranean vegetation and exotic plants. Lake Maggiore was featured in Ernest Hemingway's infamous novel, A Farewell to Arms, when the protagonist and his lover must row across the lake in order to escape the Italian Carabinieri (think police in military uniforms). Here's hoping you won't have any run-ins of that nature.

This is simply a great bar. Someone said it is among the top 10 rated rooftop bars. I believe it. The atmosphere, view, service and drinks are all top rate. it is not cheap, but then again you get what you pay for. This is the only place I went in Italy that understood how to serve a double Tanqueray on the rocks. But the craft cocktails that others ordered were prepared very well. If ever in Stresa you must come here for at least one drink.

Attualmente è un Bistrot pugliese con 9 spine del noto Birrificio piemontese Baladin.Terrazza situata a prua coperta, Bar,saletta a poppa chiusa
