Cherai beach is the ideal place to watch the sunset while you are in Cochin. About 40 mins drive from the city area this beach is very long with many beach restaurants and shops nearby. If you walk along you will find the Chinese fishing nets and you might be able to witness the catch of the day by the local fishermen. Most of the local people and tourists visit this beach during the evenings and the surroundings are real nice. You are able to watch the paddy fields and the backwaters on the way so this could be a one of the best half day trips for you while you are in Cochin.

This beach has alot of shore area accompanied with a forest. The hidden Jem in Vypin Island, and just 4km away from fort kochi.

Munambam Beach is a growing tourist spot. I liked it a lot. The team at Neptunes Water Sports, located there, is super. If you are looking for a beach activity, the beach is definitely worth a visit.
