4. Winter Wonderland, The Taiga
Taiga is a winter wonderland in Mongolia, where one of the most interesting ethnic groups living near the lake is the Tsaatan or as they are better known – ‘The Reindeer People’. A small tribe of Tsaatan consisting of about 40 families lives with its herds of reindeer in the forests around the lake. These graceful animals provide the tribe with all its basic needs - milk, transportation, meat, skins and bones and antlers used as building materials and for tools.

Everything just worked out on this tour i did in nov 2019. Actually mongolian ways was one of the few actually offering during this offseason time of the year. Both guide and driver have proofen excellent organizational, driving, translating skills and made everytjing possible. One night for example was really cold so they spontanipusly organized a warmer place for the next day. A lot was organized according to the situation which gave maximum flexibility. We visited places which are not usually on the tourists list as for example a coal mine. I was never pressured to hurry up or and still everything worked out because the dtiver was so well connected with the locals. And of course... the sights I saw where amazing.

I was recommended to contact Tsetsegee for a tour in Mongolia by my boss who used to live and work there for many years. I'm so happy with the service from airport pickup, driver, tour guide/cook to accommodation arrangement during the trip (except for two nights in Ulaanbaatar I booked the hotel by myself). I also like that I have freedom to design the itinerary to fit the best with my wish. It was a great support from Tsetsegee some months ago the actual trip to secure a domestic ticket for us and response to our questions. Definitely recommend this tour to those who seek for an once of a lifetime experience in Mongolia.

I would like to thank all the selena travel team for the unforgettable trip we made in Mongolia. Everything went above expectations. It was visible the effort and concern of our driver (Taga) and our guide (Zaya) so that everything went smoothly. In a few days I had the feeling of traveling among old friends. The short time we stayed in China was also well enjoyed with excellent car, driver and guide (Dina). Super attentive, friendly staff with excellent knowledge of the attractions. Thanks to all who made this pleasant period possible in Mongolia and China.
