Baraki is a really lovely bar, drinks are cold and the cocktails extensive. The hosts Katerina and Costas are really friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and happy to chat. Near to other shops and restaurants so the teenagers can go for a wander and know where we are. Excellent addition to our holiday!

Found this perfect little bar not far from Our hotel on our first day and went every day thereafter! The staff were very attentive and made us feel so welcome!! They gave complimentary ice cream to my son every day! Would highly recommend the strawberry daiquiri - the best in the town! Can’t wait go return!

A simply wonderful bar, the staff are so welcoming and friendly and such good fun, Annie, Stelios and Mike and of course the one and only Boubbie ????, the atmosphere is lovely and welcoming and the prices of drinks are excellent, lots of amazing cocktails, soft drinks, beer, wine, everything! You must visit!!! it really is the best of Cretan hospitality, can’t wait to go back

New sport cafe in Gouves.Just a few minutes from The Island hotel, the new sportsbar CENTRAL. Open from 12.00 till late. Coffees, cocktails, juices, milkshakes, beers, icecream and snacks are served all day. If you want to watch football or other sports, there are 3 big televisions with many channels. There is also a pool table to play some pool. Free WIFI is available.

It was great to find somewhere that didn't serve food and was a real pub! Perfect for watching sport with 3 TVs which could show different games at the one time. We were made very welcome by Christos the owner, his lovely partner Nikki and some of the regulars like Tom, Fiona & Bea! Loved it when everyone was given a shot on the house, the bell was rung and we all had to shout Yamas and knock them back. Nice touch. Even when Christos met us out walking he would shout 'Liverpool ' at us with a big friendly wave and a grin. Good staff, great beer, lovely place to enjoy an evening.

As a bit of a philistine, I do love a Magners, although I am also a firm fan of Mythos. Popped by twice for a draft Magners, well priced at €4 each. George who owned the bar was lovely, really attentive & shared his experiences of his time in the North East UK. Great place to sit, relax & people watch.

Recently stayed in gouves visited the anfield bar with my mum n aunt the food was excellent and the service and hospitality was expectional thomas and anna are wonderful hosts who offer the true greek hospitality definitely worth a visit when eva u are in the area or staying in gouves

We walked along the beach front and came across this treasure. The gentleman serving was amazing, so friendly and great advice on what to choose! The food was amazing and such a lovely romantic atmosphere! Will be visiting again!

These guys take quality so seriously. Gouves is a quiet and lovely place but when you walk in you feel like you are in a very sophisticated bar that would not be out of place in London. Only here is warm. And the prices are amazing for what you get. The herbs and garnishes to the cocktails they grow themselves. There is nowhere else I gouves that offers this really high end service and it’s so wonderful. As it’s also very very reasonably priced. They do some awesome bar snacks. And the pool and the toilets are just immaculate. Everyday the place is cleaned to the highest standard. For nearly 5 years I think we have stayed in the apartments above. I think it’s the best place. And we see them as close friends. It’s family run. And when you are there you are part of that family. Thanks for years and years of wonderful memories. Some of the best times in our life have been thanks to Haris, Kosta and Dimitri. We love you guys never change ????
