Our family really enjoyed the entire experience!! From the excellent food, to the musicians, hula dancers, and the fire dancers, we enjoyed the entire show!! As someone who was able to bring his family together for this trip after not being close for the last 2-3 years, the speech at the end about family, love, and the importance of those ideas in the Hawaiian culture, it was especially meaningful!! Thank you all!!!

Fantastic luau...I mean it is Disney after all and they did not let us down. We attended this luau with 2 children, 2 adults, and 2 grandparents. You can choose either VIP or general admission. We choose general admission and honestly our seats were fabulous! We arrived 45minutes prior to seating and were the first ones in the general admission line. We were in the middle- both front to back and side to side. Performances take place both on the main stage and 3 mini stages in an isle. The food was great (for a luau). 2 members in our group had food restrictions and were easily addressed with food labels in front of each item. Several fun events for kids and adults alike. As I said above, the performance was excellent! Only down side is kids 10 and older are charged as an adult. Overall would rate Disney’s Luau an A.

This was our third time to go to Germaine’s Luau while in Honolulu. WOW is all I can say again! This remote beach location is the perfect setting for a luau. A great family venue for everyone. Vet’s & first-responder’s recognized at show. Everyone quickly becomes “cousins”. BOTTOM LINE: AWESOME! Food and entertainment was perfect. The aloha “spirit” filled the event site, smiling helpful employees, cast and food. They make you to make you feel that you are guests in their backyard luau. Everyone smiles makes you welcome. Cast mingles with guest both pre and post show and are happy to join you for photos and selfies. It all works with the food, entertainment cast, MC and live Hawaiian band. This is how I envision an “old Hawaiian luau" to be. Go, Go, Go. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Everyone loved it! I’m betting you will too. MY RATING: 10/10 From the moment you get picked up at your hotel (if you take this option) your bus guide will get you in the mood for your evening experience. They are great ambassadors for the venue. Donna our local guide was warm and loved showing her love of Hawaii. The ocean beach front setting is picture perfect and timed to see a stunning Hawaiian sunset. WOW! The conch shell call means it’s time to see the pig pit unveiling. After, a Hawaiian prayer is offered as everyone (“family”) holds hands and bows their heads. Afterwards the food lines open. It’s all you can eat. (NOTE: For those paying for the "Plumeria" front row seating section (recommended upgrade) you have a server who brings the food courses to you (no crowed lines to go through). Ticket price includes one alcohol or virgin drink. For those in the upgrade sections, you’ll get three drink tickets. Water, fruit punch and soft drinks are all free & unlimited. The food was delicious and plentiful. MENU included Kalva roasted pig, teriyaki beef, island fish, Hawaiian chicken, rice, green salad, fruit salad, macaroni salad. You will be FULL! Dessert was chocolate & vanilla coconut cake (the only weaker parts of the meal). Dessert needs improvement. VEGETARIAN NOTE: Vegetarian option available if requested 24hr in advance site says. SHOW: The show was amazing with great looking Hawaiian beauties and islands studs. The Polynesia entertainment & dances included Hawaiian, New Zealand, Tonga, Samoa and Tahiti. The dancers are beautiful to look upon and costumes are colorful and authentic looking. One part to especially be ready with camera in hand to look out for near the end of the show is when the lights dim is the Hawaiian cute girl that does a sloooow hula. Very sexy, backless! The native fire dancer was incredible. The best I have ever seen! WOW! MUST SEE. I can’t give this experience a better rating. It’s a 10/10. Go see it! NOTE: 90% of the venue in located on uneven beach sand for those with mobility problems. Some rear seating on a hard surface may be available. Call Germaine’s. Evenings can be cool and windy. Bring a light jacket to be safe.
