"Hi, have you been here before?...ok, the tour is..." that was how we where greated at the Ecolarium. It is a tour in the human ecosystem and quite fun and intelligent made. A tour in the sewers in the "underground train machine" , live rats and more. My kids where surprised by the level of fun and activities. I recommend this if you are in Vejle and have kids.

Discover 4 different climate zones with stories about nature and plants from all over the world. In The Greenhouses botany and nature are in the center. Told for both children and adults. Explore 4 different climate zones with beautiful flowers and impressive plants or take a break in the cafe and enjoy the food and the green surroundings. In the plant collections and many other places in the Greenhouses you can hear stories of nature's wealth and influence in our daily lives.
Originally I wanted to see Den Gamle By. It might be a nice place but I had that kind of feeling it was a tourist trap. So I went to the botanical garden instead which turned out to be a great decision. Not only is the entrance to the greenhouse free, there are even lots of beautiful butterflies, fish and even more exotic plants of course. I probably enjoyed this place much more than I would have enjoyed the old town.
