The mere mention of Hawaii is enough to prompt visions of grass skirts and colorful cocktails with tiny umbrellas. While you will find some kitsch in Honolulu, you’ll also find art museums, bike paths, and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Popular Waikiki Beach has soft sands and great surf. For majestic Oahu views scramble to the top of Diamond Head – a 350-acre volcanic crater. Historic structures like Iolani Palace and Ali'iolani Hale are worth a visit on a non-beach day.

Bo Irvine provides a true Hawaiian comedy experience along with a tribute to military families. We have attended his comedy show everytime we are lucky to travel to Honolulu and the Hale Koa Hotel. His show provides a fun experience at the Warrior's Lounge and is not to be missed. There's nothing like laughing out loud, eating great pupus and drinking a Mai Tai to enhance your vacation!

This show is certainly worth attending. The magic is truly amazing. The magician moves throughout the audience to perform and his every move is followed by a video person and each action is shown in HD screens throughout the room so everyone sees everything. Drinks & food at reasonable price are served. Tickets are only $20 and well worth the price! We thoroughly enjoyed the show. Ever seat is good.

NO BIG PRODUCTION! We're a very intimate luau who focuses on sharing the Hawaiian culture with you. We go from strangers to family within the few hours at our luau. Quickly setting the new standard for a backyard style luau. A unique, hands on, intimate and truly magical 5-Star experience. Our guests say this is everything they hoped for and more. Become part of our ohana as you visit the Nutridge Estate. Walk through a rainforest, help us build an imu (Hawaiian underground oven) and enjoy a "front row seat" throughout with our small group family style luau. We encourage everyone to come and experience the magic first-hand. Book your "truly magical" luau experience today!
From the greeting just past the gate to the last farewell (a hui hou), Dave and his team put on a world class showcase that was as much entertaining as it was personal. The food was delicious, the setting unmatched, and the entertainment a combination of intimate, funny, graceful, and intense. My family had never experienced a luau before. I am so glad that their first left them with smiles plastered on their faces. There's something for everyone whether it's myriad plant life, traditional Hawaiian dancing, an amazing sunset, bowling, spear throwing, macadamia nuts, or the friendly staff. This is not just a Luau, it is an aptly named experience not to be missed. I would do this again and again and highly recommend the Nutridge Experience.

The MVT is a great venue for community theater. They did an excellent job with Curious Incident. Well cast. Nicely staged.

Hawaii Theatre has played a significant role in Honolulu’s cultural landscape since 1922. The mission of the non-profit Hawaii Theatre Center, established in 1984 is to provide a broad range of entertainment, cultural and educational experiences; promote redevelopment and revitalization of downtown Honolulu/Chinatown; and enhance the quality of life in Honolulu. The Hawaii Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and was recognized as the “Outstanding Historic Theatre in America” in 2005 by the League of Historic American Theatres and, in 2006, received an Honor Award by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Listed on both the State and National Registers of Historic Places, the restored Hawaii Theatre re-opened in 1996, and attracts 80,000-100,000 patrons a year to its beautiful auditorium. The Hawaiii Theatre is also proud to be recognized by GuideStar as a 2019 Gold Seal of Transparency Recipient. Learn more about our non-profit organization’s background and financi
I have long known that Hawaii Theatre has been recognized as an "Outstanding Historic Theatre in America and have often enjoyed performances there since it was beautifully restored and reopened in 1996. We saw "Allegiance" a musical that has been presented on Broadway and were again in awe! The performance documents the internment of innocent Japanese American citizens during World War II after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. This production by the Manoa Valley Theatre was the Hawaii premiere. The actors were superb, the venue was grand, the ushers were helpful and gracious, the exhibits were moving and the message of course, is one that we can not forget. We do not live in Hawaii, but travel here about once per year to our timeshare. When we are here, we always make a point to check out what is playing at the Hawaii Theatre and we were certainly delighted, once again!
