Part of a day trip to Holguin, the view from the top is SPECTACULAR. If you have the opportunity to go up there, don't pass it up...Holguin is Cuba's third largest city and you get a prime view of Cuban-urban sprawl!!!

We went on a guided tour with a group and the place is lovely. It is the house where Fidel Castro is born and everything is in excellent condition and if you are a lover of Cuban history, it is a must visit

Bakers' Cave (Cueva de los Panaderos) in Gibara is a cave system that shelters native fauna, with magnificent formations of stalactites and stalagmites. It is also characterized by underground drainage systems with sinkholes, dolines, and caves. Joselin Corella is a local specialist who can explain the characteristics of the place in detail.

It was truly a leap back in time--all the things you might remember from the mid-1900s, inside the home Fidel and Raul grew up and the small school they attended. You learn what a shrewd businessman their father was. Besides the home, there is a cafe, bank, anything a traveler would need on his way across Cuba. Even a cock fighting arena. This is a beautiful place and quiet even with bus loads of school children visiting. Definitely a place to visit if you are anywhere near.

We stayed at Playa Pesquero and visited the plaza a few times. Was nice to go for a short horse and cart ride with the kids or an afternoon walk. It's literally 10 mins walk from hotel. A market of about 15 stalls that change every day, a bowling alley, shop, bar and a place to eat. There's also a large bouncy castle but we could only stand 5 mins on it as it was so hot! Market is good for a wee hour out of hotel. Lots decent souvenirs.

I am not the owner of this attraction. It is a Natural History Museum in Gibara Cuba and I wanted to review it but it is surprisingly not listed yet, The establishment opened in 1966. The currency is Cuban convertible Pesos (CUC) which is not in your list but is on par with the US dollar.
