Hoa’s Village was only 7 miles away but about 25 minutes by motorcycle and she encouraged me to meet her there. I booked my first grab motorcycle with a little bit of help from the hotel staff. With my green helmet and mask on, I claimed on board and off we went. I noticed Hoa right away at the market and she's definitely a professional and classy young independent woman. I already I like her a lot with her beautiful smile and welcoming words. She was raised in middle Vietnam, lived a third of her life in Ho Chi Minh and now has finished living a third of her life in Hanoi working. She is a facilitator for groups of travelers who travel to Hanoi and are engaged in programs. Smart and curious and definitely loving her country, she is the perfect guide for me today. I have paid for two hours but she encourages me to stay with her as we share cultures and visions and examples of how we live our lives which are parallel in many ways. She provides and insightful views of her village that are charming, informative through her lens and I treasure her for her generousity. At the close of a memorablel adventure, With several big hugs, I say goodbye to Hoa but I will never forget her.

Well worth the cost and time. Enjoyed a very relaxing boat ride through amazing landscapes with many stops along the way. Very busy on weekends but we went during the week, much more peaceful. Highly recommend

I had a really great & fun time on this tour. I went on my own and while waiting for the bus to arrive to start our journey a couple of young Vietnamese girls took me under their wing by talking to me and kept it up all the way thru the tour. They were very friendly and delightful. Also Luong (Louis) was a lot of fun too. He was very friendly, professional. ejoyed a good joke or two and always made sure that I was fine and enjoying myself and all the activities that I did with the other tour members.

The tour itself was incredible; we went on the Stellar of the Seas boat for a 3 day, 2 night cruise. The boat was beautiful and their staff was lovely. But this review is for the tour company that booked the cruise (Halong Bay Tours) - NOT the cruise itself What I liked about the tour company: - professional & polite, even with irate customers (me...prior to booking) - provided many options for tours to suit our needs. I emailed them stating what we were looking for and they replied with various options. Other companies that I emailed did not do this to the same standard What I did not like: - more expensive than booking through the boat company directly - took longer to reply to emails (a 72 hour window to reply was what they told me) - were sent the wrong itinerary - were given the wrong cancellation policy on 3 separate occasions prior to booking . Only after I paid in full and enquired about possibly canceling, did they tell me they made a mistake. This could have resulted in a very costly error for us. I would recommend using this company if you are unsure of what boat to take and just want it all done for you. If you know the boat you want, I would book directly through the boat. Booking directly through Stellar of the Seas would've been cheaper and they replied to my emails the same day with accurate information.

Tam Coc is located in Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex which was recognized by UNESCO as a mixed natural and cultural property. Tam Coc is one of the most favorite spots in Ninh Binh thanks to its towering outcrops sweeping up from serene rice paddies. Bich Dong Pagoda is an important religious place for the locals in the region. It comprises three structures: Ha (Low), Trung (Middle), and Thuong (Upper) pagodas in ascending order at the side of a rocky mountain. It is nice for a hike up to visit the three structures. Inside each pagoda, looming statues and the smoke of burning incense create an otherworldly atmosphere. From the top, there are some incredible views of the countryside.

We had a very nice private tour. And our guide was very kind, positive and cheerful. He came to our hotel to meet us. There was a van waiting for us with air conditioning, which was very much appreciated! The driver drove with care all the time. We saw first the beautiful Po Nagar Towers. Then we went to the Long Son Pagoda. We saw the big white Buddha. It was huge! We went later to see the Cathedral, but it was closed, so we couldn’t get inside. Finally we went to the embroidery workship atelier. They are really art pieces. I’d buy them all if I had the money. Finally we went to have lunch. It was a very complete course meal. We were so full! We loved this tour. It is so complete. We are very happy we booked it.

Had an amazing time at the street food tour conducted by Little Tea. The guide was a young college girl Hannah who was very polite and suave. She took us around Little District of Hanoi where we tasted Banh My, Beef in Papaya salad, various preparations of noodles,dessert and egg coffee. She knew her way around the small alleys of Hanoi.Would definitely recommend it

Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, recognized by UNESCO as a mixed natural and cultural property at the 38th session of the organization’s World Heritage Committee in June 2014, is must see destination in Vietnam. The complex includes three adjacent parts, Vietnam’s old capital of Hoa Lu, Trang An – Tam Coc – Bich Dong natural scenes and the Hoa Lu primitive forest. 8:00 AM Meet tour guide at your hotel and depart for Ninh Binh province (2,5 hour-driving). Our first stop is Bai Dinh Pagoda the biggest pagoda in South East Asia with 500 La Han statues, biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam with 10 meters in height, 100 tons in weight. Bái Dinh pagoda is young in Vietnam, but its peace and power are very strong. The 11th United Nations Day of Vesak Celebration is held in Bai Dinh Pagao.
