Jim's Journey: The Huck Finn Freedom Center

Looking at some of the bad reviews, it seems like they're almost all people who wanted to see this place, but weren't able to. YES, it's small. And I guess they have limited hours. I went with a group, and the organizer called ahead and arranged for it to be open for us, and for a docent to give a talk. This little place is PACKED with a lot of history that you won't hear about at the regular stops. I believe it's only been open for 10 years, but they've put together a fantastic museum, with SO MANY stories about each and every item. A must see! Entry fee is by donation.

Haunted House on Hill Street Wax Museum

Reviewed By Fun4US4life - Saint Louis, United States

We loved this little shop! While out touring the streets of Hannibal, we stumbled across this quaint shop with really unique decor! Since Halloween is our favorite holiday, my husband Joe and I were happy to have taken the time to explore the Haunted House on Hill Street Wax Museum. After taking the tour of the museum, we went into the haunted house. Um, I'm not one to be afraid of anything, but this was quite the heart pumping little venture! After gathering ourselves and Joe trying his best to readjust the hoodie he was wearing (because I almost tore it off of him after the scare fest), I found a Madame Alexander doll to add to my collection, some key chains, candles, and other gifts! The owner was very sweet! I can't wait to visit again. However, next time.......... I'll just shop and not go in that haunted house!
