Gudauri (Georgian: გუდაური) is a ski resort located on the south-facing plateau of The Greater Caucasus Mountain Range in Georgia. The resort is situated in the Stepantsminda District, along the Georgian Military Highway near the Cross Pass, at an elevation of 2,200 meters (7,200 ft.) above sea level with skiable area enjoying maximum exposure to the sun. Gudauri lies 120 km (75 mi) to the north of the capital Tbilisi and two hours drive from the Tbilisi International Airport or even a short helicopter flight from the capital. The resort offers high quality skiing opportunities. The slopes of Gudauri are completely above the tree line and are best for free-riders and are generally considered to be avalanche-safe. The ski season lasts from December to April. Heliskiing is also available throughout the season.

This is more than a review: this is the story about how I fell in love with Georgia, its people and everything that turned an unpretentious trip to a foreign country into something extraordinary, including the awesome team of Gamarjoba Tours. These guys will go above and beyond to accommodate all your needs and make you feel at home... And when I say that, I really, REALLY mean it - Georgian hospitality at its best! Tata, our amazing blue-haired tour guide, couldn't be recommended enough. As she led our way through snowy mountains and wine glasses, Tata became an instant friend and made the whole experience even more special :) It was trully an unforgettable trip and I can't wait to go back!

I took old Tbilisi walking tour. Old town is an amazing part of it, so cute and so cozy, I love it. We started tour at 5 pm , guide was a nice person, she had answered all of my questions. View from Narikala was incredible, waterfall in center of the city , actually Tbilisi is a very strange and unique city. It is mix of everything. I am fell in love with its beauty. We had 8 days customised tour with Vepkhia from Tbilisi- Mtskheta-Kazbegi-Gori-Borjomi-Kutaisi- Chiatura-Mestia-Tbilisi. It was amazing how much of Georgia we actually covered. Such an amazing country! Our tour guide, Vepkhia, was very attentive, patient the whole time (as my mum and two friends stopped everywhere for photos lol), and truly delivered quality service! The transfers were perfect and done with a comfortable Mercedes van. He always made sure everyone is as safe and comfortable as possible. His service was excellent from start to finish. FYI, Vepkhia was very knowledgable and personable, making the combination of the history, culture, including food and wine experiences a very enjoyable tour (especially when he made toasts during suppers :)) Thank you so much Tiger, Vepkhia!! Highly recommend!!!

This review is way overdue, but is well deserved! In early Oct 2019, my 78 year old mom and I took a 10-day tour of the beautiful country of Georgia with Levan Tours and Georgi was our guide/driver for the entire time. Our 1st day started with a half day tour of Tbilisi and extended to Kazbegi, Mtskheta, Gori, Uplistsikhe, Borjomi, Rabati, Vardzia, Qutaisi, Sataplia Caves, Martvili Canyon, Kakheti, Signagi, Telavi, and many other places in between. Georgi made sure my mom was comfortable and well attended. He maneuvered windy roads and negotiated narrow passages that were taken over by cows/sheep with great care. Georgi also made sure we bought the best churchkhela to take back home, tasted cheese varieties like Imereti /Sulguni and the Georgian bread Shoti and introduced us to the best Georgian wines made by the Schuchmann Winery. I loved their 2017 Saperavi so much that I bought 2 cases from a local distributor when I got back home. Overall, our trip to Georgia was one of the most memorable trips I have taken (and I travel very frequently) due to Levan Tours' carefully crafted itinerary and Georgi's wonderful treatment of us as guests (and not as traveling clients). He was very responsive from day one when I emailed him about the tour, answering all my questions in detail. He accommodated my mom's needs and was very attentive to our conversations. One day I mentioned that I have not had a persimmon in Georgia and the next day, he brought me a few ripe ones in addition to grapes from his yard. Small acts of kindness like this creates a very positive impression not only on the individual level, but also on Georgian people in general. In summary, I LOVED the beautiful country of Georgia and enjoyed every moment spent there. I highly recommend Levan Tours, which is the way to go if you want to cover vast territory with a guide who is proficient in English and very careful driver. Thank you, Georgi for wonderful, long lasting memories you helped to create for me and my mom.
