The collection consists of more than 20,000 Salt and Pepper Shakers from all over the world. It is Andrea Ludden's labor of love, collecting an incredible variety of shakers for more than thirty years. It is the only museum in Guadalest which is fully accessible to all ages and mobility (there are no stairs or climbs), with ample space for groups, and directly on the main parking lot of Guadalest. It is entertaining, educational, and fun for the whole family. Although busy it is surprising how relatively few people visit this museum just past the tunnel to the old town. Can be difficult to visit all the areas if busy, but as well as a small shop has artefacts and videos showing life in the area in days of old. Stairs could be difficult for the infirm.

Hubby and I did a Day trip (by car) from Torrevieja. The city of Guadalest is absolutely stunning. Small, quite a bit of tourists were there when we visited. Very sunny and hot day. The town is so cute , quaint and quiet with just a population of 189 people. We Parked in the town centre and walked up. We paid entrance to this old house of 4 euros each. This house, apart from the small city itself was all worth the money. The entrance fee gives One access to the castle, which was not much to see. Handouts are given away in various languages, about the house, what each room was/is, consisted of. It is lovely, worth the money. Take your time, stroll into all the Rooms and let your imagination run wild. They were very welcoming and practice safety measures re the corona virus. Tips: Take a bottle of water, comfortable shoes and maybe a hat on a warm day and ENJOY!!!! Thank you for your hospitality!! RECOMMENDED!!!
