Snaefellsnes is often also called Iceland in Miniature. While it may only take 3 hours to circumvent the whole peninsula, craters, glacier, and eerie rock formations, the vast geology diversity can take you the whole day just to have a closer look at its wonders. It’s also believed that one of seven mystical energy centers of the world is situated here, so pack up and get ready for a boost.

I booked two full day trips, transfers to and from airport and the Blue Lagoon with this company. We were a party of four adults that included two ‘seniors’ one of whom is disabled - me! All arrangements were agreed in writing and I was provided with a full, clear Itinerary for our stay. The drivers arrived at the expected time for each occasion and the vehicles were exceptionally good. They managed my scooter (and the luggage) cheerfully - both in actions and attitudes and I was treated with dignity at all times. The day trips in a 4 x 4 were outstanding and adjusted by agreement to meet the party’s desires and weather changes. Both of the young men who escorted our party were charming, informative and great company. By the end of both days, we were a family! Thank you so much Gisele and Audunn! Without doubt you can see the Golden Circle and the South Coast cheaper by coach tour or self-drive but neither can compare with the personal service and depth of knowledge about the island, it’s geography, society and culture provided by one’s own tour guide. The journeys in a 4 x 4 are more comfortable and exciting too!! If this is your first, your only or a special trip, don’t think twice about paying for the best if you can. This was my second visit to Iceland but hopefully not my last. Thank you Ao Thur for making it such fun and with more marvellous memories -again. Hugs Mary.

West of Iceland has it all. A natural pool, glacier, waterfalls, lava, and volcanoes. Also charming fishing villages and breathtaking views all around the Snæfellsnes peninsula. Few of our possible stops include Snæfellsjökull National Park with Djúpalónssandur, Hellnar, Arnarstapi and Gerduberg. Many of my favorite places are however not famous at all or crowded with people but nevertheless just as breathtaking and special. Our company is a small family based one. We are very passionate about our nature and we love our work. We focus on giving a great memorable experience to few people at the time. We want you to feel like you were visiting an old friend in Iceland that is showing you some of his island's most beautiful places.

This was one of the most fun private tours we did because of how engaging and knowledgeable our guide Dofri was. He kept us entertained with trivia, hilarious anecdotes and detailed information about the beautiful sights we saw. The different landscapes we drove and walked through were surreal, and the food we had in a small fishing village was delicious. Dofri went out of his way to make this a personalised and memorable experience for us and we are so thankful for that! Can't wait to do another tour the next time we're in Iceland.

Highly recommend this tour if you planning to visit Iceland. Jens, one of the owner of this company is an understanding, responsible, professional and knowledgeable guide. We have joined the aurora and glacier tour in Feb 2020 and it was an unforgettable experience in my life. Just 3 of us in the group, like engaged a private tour. Jens will share the history of Iceland throughout the journey. Sometimes, he might be a bit quiet, but he will be able to answer every question and share the tips with you. Breakfast and dinner were included in the tour and he will stop along the way in town for us to grab the lunch. Breakfast is in buffet style and dinner prepared by the Farmhouse/Guesthouse was really really delicious! The Farm stay and guesthouse were cozy with nice view. The tour is reasonably priced and worth every penny.

BJ gave us an excellent tour of the Rekjanes peninsula showing us sights we had not seen before. He was very informative and had a great deal of knowledge of the area. While the weather wasn't ideal being from Minnesota we are use to it we forged ahead seeing many great sight in ways many people rarely see. This gave us many great photos. Ahhh. The tour not taken. I jumped on a great last minute airfare to Iceland from the US and had little time to plan, so I was panicking, a bit. I read reviews and decided to contact two tour companies, one being Hidden Iceland. They responded immediately with a detailed outline of a private tour that met EXACTLY what I asked for in terms of sights, type of accommodation, level of activity, adventure and flexibility specific to a mom traveling with teenagers. Family friends learned of our trip and decided to join us and ultimately the decision was made to self explore. However- this company’s response was very impressive and I will be envious of those who take a vacation with Hidden Iceland!

The tour will continue to volcano craters, black beaches, lighthouses, beautiful cliffs, and the famous Kirkjufell, the most photographed mountain in Iceland. We booked 5 days private tour with Iceland Premium Tours, and we were hosted by none other than the CEO Orvar himself. He has been very accommodating towards our request, and provided his unparalleled understanding of Iceland itself. We have been hit by bad weather thru the week, he never stopped a moment to suggest alternate alternatives, without compromising of safety. When we were on the way to the airport, knowing that we did not managed to see the aurora, he took a last effort and drove us to a location for a last ditch effort. And we managed to catch a glimpse of it finally! Thank you Orvar!
