Epping Forest

Reviewed By Patty1123 - Alto, United States

We visit Chingford every year and never tire of taking a walk through Epping Forest. There are scores of pathways, frequent meadows and interesting historical locations, including a commemorative plaque to T.E. Lawrence. There is a cute little pond where you can find ducks. There is also a famous boy scout camp on the edge.

Absolutely love this park. It’s great now there is a new play area for the younger children. So much ground to walk around and a great cafeteria and gift shop on site

Access is also available from Courtwood Rise - it's a bit of a climb, though. Lovely woods, varied throughout the year, birdsong everywhere, lots of paths to explore.
