Hobart Blues Club

The Hobart Blues Club provides a Gig on the First Tuesday evening of the month, 7:30 - 10:30 PM. Theres usually one set reserved for Jammers and a PA is available plus a back line can usually be put together if needed Gigs include local and Interstate bands and solo performers. Our genre is Blues in all its forms - jammers please note! Other gigs are on offer from time to time in addition to the Tuesday gig. Meals and snacks are available. Our Venue, The Duke, is a well respected bar and restaurant. Its always advisable to book a table in advance if you want to eat as it can get booked out. Theres no cover charge and we do our best to make this a safe, family-friendly place to enjoy some Blues

Tasmanian Inn Hotel

Reviewed By kateshir

Originally went as part of a group of eight. Really liked the food but distracted by children and others in our party! So decided to return as a couple. Food, if anything, was even better. Very good fish and truly wonderful hand cut chips. Prices were also very very good. Service was great and the atmosphere of the old (1838), refurbished pub was stunning. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The Crown Inn

Reviewed By GlobeTrotters4001 - Brisbane, Australia

Friends living in Pontville took us here for lunch and the menu was pub style but the chef here I think is fantastic. The crumbed scallops were delicious and lightly crumbed and you got to taste scallop rather than crumbing. The vegetables were crisp, fresh and delicious - first time I've eaten all the mashed potatoes served to me. The children's crumbed chicken tenders were real chicken not nugget variety and the chips were very nice as well - crispy and not oily tasting. The child's Spaghetti Bolognese looked really and the pasta was not over cooked and it's a dish I would have liked to have eaten. So top marks for great food for children. An unassuming pub with I feel fantastic food and I wish it was closer to where we're staying in Hobart as I'd go here for dinner as well.

The Salamanca Whiskey Bar

Reviewed By melanievrice - Melbourne, Australia

The atmosphere of this bar is incredible, candlelight, fresh white lilies, plush sofas, glass display cabinets of decadent chocolate cakes, an extensive drinks menu to suit all tastes and table service. We dropped in for a quick nightcap after dinner on our first night in Hobart and enjoyed a delicious cocktail each. The service was excellent. I am still thinking about the French Toast Martini... Highly, highly recommend.
